This conference by Yuri Bezmenov, alias Tomas Schuman, is a terrific presentation on the nature and mechanics of subversion. A defector from the ex-Soviet Union, Bezmenov worked for the KGB as a propaganda expert before passing to the West. As 85% of all KGB efforts were directed not at spying per se but rather at distracting western society in order to subvert and destroy it, this presentation is worth viewing again. Bezmenov begins his speech by reminding us about Sun Tzu, an ancient Chinese general who has authored the tremendously important The Art of War, a book on military strategy. The point of reminding us about this is obvious: all the signs that our western society is being the target of one or of several destabilization operations by foreign and domestic forces are evident. That’s why we need to focus our attention on the specifics of how a subversion operation works.
Bezmenov presents the stages of such operations as follows:
1-Demoralization, during which the different components of a society are infiltrated and then hijacked to take them away from their initial mission. Artificial bodies of bureaucrats come to replace the citizens;
2-Destabilization, during which the process of subversion began in step 1 increases in intensity and means;
3- Crisis, during which a society inevitably faces either civil war or invasion by foreign forces;
4- Normalisation finally, during which all activists and « revolutionaries » who got involved in social change and uprisings are eliminated by the new power elite. Bezmenov gives several examples of communist revolutions where early backers and actors of the revolution have been killed once the situation has settled. Lire la suite
This very good show deals with three important issues related to the survival of democracy itself, as the liberties it represents and advocates come under attack by various elements in the Islamic world. Andy Bostom speaks on Sharia or Islamic Law that is being slowly imposed on us, Jim Woolsey speaks on the Iranian regime and the threats that it represents for the survival of our civilization, due to the bomb on top of everything else, and Michael Rubin speaks on the issue of the burning of the Koran that occured in Afghanistan recently.
Jes’ that guy is incredible! What a marvellous and talented politician. I wish there would be more like that in Canada and the U.S. It is so dull sometimes to listen to their speeches! Take the time to listen to him here in the European Parliament last September when he criticized European Commission President José Manuel Barroso and the policies of the EU.
Well…I feel the need to pontificate a little today. Being a blogger and feeling sometimes relegated to the backseats of social and political discourse, I often have the impression that what I have to say about the world is considered useless and inconsequential by the power elite of this world. More humble people obviously appreciate this site and I am glad they do because, in the end, it is for them that I write and publish all these posts on my own time, for free. So today I hope you will allow me to celebrate my instincts, although I would have prefered evidently to be wrong. Last May, when I first heard about this coming Conference in Montreal, I had the feeling that the Dalai Lama and Tariq Ramadan would adjust their strategies and work on a common agenda. That’s why I had titled my post The Dalai and Tariq Ramadan will sing in duet…and that’s exactly what happened.
Let me explain a few things. A journalist from French-speaking radio station 98,5FM in Montreal, Canada, named Alain Pronkin, attended the Conference on September the 7th. In a two-part interviews given to host Benoit Dutrizac, he reported two things rather relevant for our purpose. First, Tariq Ramadan, this Muslim Brotherhood agent so « charming » and « moderate » that has become literally a sweatheart for the so-called progressive sector, was asked by a Buddhist raised in a Christian family why the Dalai Lama couldn’t visit the Mecca. Ramadan plainly and dully responded that the vast majority of Muslim scholars agreed on this and that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia wouldn’t allow it anyway. Period. So much for the religious freedom and « tolerance » that Ramadan is desperately trying to force upon Westerners. In other words, what Muslims mean by religious freedom is the possibility for them to impose their laws, their sharia, their Islamic veil, their sacred holidays, their prayers at whatever moment of the day and in whatever places they see fit, etc, that we, Westerners, have to accept in the name of so-called « openness ». But this principle of religious freedom doesn’t seem to work the other way around. If we, Westerners, want to express our religious freedom by visiting a holy place of Islam, even if it is only out of curiosity or for touristic experience, we can’t…unless Muslims permit it. Now you get the picture about religious freedom, Muslim style. Lire la suite
You think that the world is going just right ? Well, think again. This world is going right to the brink, sliding little by little, notch per notch, toward Armageddon. Obviously, if we are ever going to engage into a new world war, it won’t be the progressives’s fault, nor the liberals’s, nor the democrats’s. It will be the fault of all the totalitarian stooges and agents that are way too numerous out there in the open. It will be because of their machinations, manipulations, misdeeds to deliberately sabotage liberal democracy that we will face ourselves with a world that will have crumbled from within into total collapse. We may very well be the last humans of history to experience what is called democracy. It has been invented during the Enlightenment, so it can disappear, it is not eternal, especially if we don’t do anything to protect it.
You may wonder where I am going with this. Well, follow my train of thought. If you have been observant of the international scene, with its political, economical and geo-strategical dimensions, you must have noticed that certain signs are present that lead to conclude that big changes are on the way. Nothing is permanent. We have seen it during history many times. States and Empires only last for a time, inevitably they all end up collapsing one day or another. It is just a question of time. In recent years, many events have sent us clues to gather and analyse. Among other elements, we can mention 9/11, the creation of the Euro Zone and the European Union, the rise of Islam, tensions and conflicts continuing to increase within the United States, the rise of China’s economic power, the desire for a greater variety of sources of energy and for healthier food and medecine, water becoming more important as a natural resource, important migration of populations, the number of cars reaching the numbers of humans on Earth, pollution problems, etc. This list is not exhaustive.
Here is what I see in these events for the future. Very soon, a combination of three things will undoubtably unleash the dogs of WWIII. First, a series of Arab countries will declare war on Israel over the pretext of the question of Palestine. Around the same time or a little later, civil war will begin in Europe, due to the high level of social tensions caused by the Euro Zone and the European Union that have been custom-built to benefit Germany, and by Muslim immigration that refuse to integrate into european society. And finally, the United States, once the greatest democracy in the world, will collapse in shame, breaking into smaller republics, becoming the Balkans of North America. Each one of these new republics will have its own agenda, political regime and ideology, sometimes ready to join the Canadian Federation but sometimes not. In certain cases they will embrace fascism to become corporate states and some other times they will try to continue clinging to the notion of liberal democracy. I continue to think that Vermont and Maine are made for being Canadian provinces. If Canada collapses as well into smaller entities, they would fit perfectly into a new larger state composed of Quebec, New Brunswick and the states of New England. Can you imagine all Franco-Americans and French-Canadians of the North-East in the same state? That would be cool.
Listen to me folks. This is not necessarily what I wish for but rather what the signs are telling me concerning the future. There will be a lot of people that will wake up in astonishment and bewilderment when it all starts. In my case, I will be ready to continue the fight even harder for democracy, because I am already aware of the big game that is being played. While the masses will still be into the stages of trying to come out of their sleep and get awake, I will be a warrior for our great civilization made out of Greco-Roman culture, Judeo-Christian moral values, Enlightenment philosophical principles, liberal democratic political ideology, and secularist social and civil organization. If the world has any chance of survival, it is with that program. Any totalitarian utopia will inevitably fail, for the simple reason that humans are fallible. Totalitarian regimes need perfect people to make it work. As it can’t find any, it governs through force using terror and torture to discourage dissent, resistance and revolution. Totalitarians seek to build a glass castle. However, as soon as somebody drops something, the whole building breaks into pieces.
