Pulling the plug on the clenched fist: Resistance 1.0

Hello folks. If you ever took the habit of clicking once in a while on this blog, you probably have noticed that I am not using anymore the clenched fist as the logo for the motto section. In effect, I have become annoyed by its use in the present culture of protests and demonstrations, and I decided to pull the plug. From Communist China or Intifada useful fools to Greek protesters or Muslim jihadists, the clenched fist have surfaced all over the place in the last weeks. But everytime it is used, it is in a context of either socialist or communist propaganda or during protests or demonstrations that often turn to riot or mayhem. Well…I don’t know if I have anything to do with the raising popularity of the clenched fist but I certainly never said to riot or damage property, or to use it to brainwash populations through propaganda. When I decided to use the clenched fist, it was in a spirit of trying to stimulate a reaction to the corruption and corrosion of the world, not to encourage people to behave like jerks and punks. With this blog, I am trying to support people to do things that are superior in quality, nature and consciousness to the usual behaviors of  the masses. Apparently, some people got me wrong.

That’s why I am re-focusing your attention on another symbol, the exact one on which this website is based, the lys d’or. It is the flower that symbolises french royalty. Its fragrance fulfils the air with democracy, freedom, freedom of speech, consciousness, awareness, civilized behavior, intelligence and values of the gospel. Whether you like it or not, everytime you will come to this site, it is that fragrance that you will smell. Putting a flower to your nose will be easier on you at first than a clenched fist, but in the long run, it might reveal just more efficient. Everyone who come to this site, you have been warned: this is not a blog for idiots or punks. I am trying to elevate your spirits, not to degrade you to the rank of animals. If you are using the clenched fist to riot, that’s your call but that is not what I teach. If you decide to do it anyway and not to follow what I recommend, you are on your own. The lys d’or will continue its course without you. Its cruel but that’s the way it is gonna be.

Libyan rebels give their first seminar on democracy

Look at these beautiful « rebels » from Libya. Don’t you think that they are not inspiring for the democratic life? Look at the way they present freedom of speech, democracy and all the values belonging to it… Isn’t that amazing? All this time we could have had the immense privilege of being taught and guided by these extraordinary examples of citizens exercizing their democratic rights, and we missed it! I guess it is because we, westerners, have such a poor opinions of these folks. In our wisdom, we decided to back authoritarian figures that would terrorize the people of these countries, and all this time we were wrong! Look at how they are capable of handling democratic expressions, enter into dialogue, negociate and find concrete solutions that would satisfy all parties… It is such a pity that we did’nt see that before… Anyway, that’s the kind of people the West is backing in Libya. Check also my previous posts on the Libyan mess: GhadafiPiggy-Back Coup, 50 Point Manifesto, Mike BakerChina’s aggressive bid, Turkish Taffy. These pictures are graphic, so brace yourselves.

The bourgeoisie and the political DisneyLand sleep pill

Something else that gets on my nerves is the bourgeoisie or the middle-class. Don’t get me wrong. I like the middle-class and I think it must continue to exist. The middle-class is essential to the preservation of democratic life. It is a recurring fact that where democracy doesn’t exist or is deficient, just by coincidence these are countries where the middle-class is almost non-existent. My point is that the middle-class lives in a paradise of ideas, theories and concepts that lead it to become estranged from the reality of the political life of its own country or territory. How is that? Simply because in any society, the rich exploit the poor. The rich know that they exploit the poor and the poor know that they are exploited by the rich. But what happens with the middle-class or the bourgeoisie? Well, because they are not the ones exploiting the poor and that they don’t experience directly the exploitation made by the rich, they tend to deny that this exploitation is even happening, they try to downsize it or they express relativist ideas about it.

By personal experience, I know how difficult it is to explain to someone from the middle-class how the world really works. They have all those theories learned at the university or at their workplace about the various aspects of life. They play with a lot of concepts such as: the Right, the Left, social currents, capitalism, communism, Third-World, etc, and obviously, they absolutely have no clue about what these concepts really refer to. Among other sources of phony DisneyLand theories about the world that they express, I have to mention the academic discipline of Sociology. It is incredible the amount of stupidities that it can produce. Sociologists build these gigantic theories about the world and yet it is obvious that they don’t understand the fundamentals. You see, they build their models of the world as if secret societies, intelligence agencies, blackmail, death threats, smear campaigns, double agents of all kinds, infiltrators, etc, wouldn’t exist. It is incredible the naivety of those people.

And the other problem that is revealing itself when we try to alert the minds of bourgeois about the state of the world, is that they have all those nice jobs with social positions and classes that go with them. Are they ready to put that into jeopardy for some « conspiracy theory » proposed by a friend or a family member? I don’t think so. They say to themselves: « If that were to be true, they would have talked about that on CNN or in the Washington Post ». That’s how it works. They’re willing to accept anything that comes from the corporate media without counter-examination or criticism but ready to reject the same that is not reported in the big media. It seems that their whole view of the world is determined by what they are told in the corporate media.

So the bourgeoisie feeds on these theories and gets carried away on a disneylandesque fantasy that brings it to a state of complete hypnotism, unconsciousness and profond sleep. Am I ready to throw the towel on the bourgeoisie? Not yet. But I am getting tired of it. I would like to see more consciousness on its part. That’s probably what Jesus meant when he said that the Kingdom of God belong to the poor. Remember that there was no middle-class in Israel at the time he lived. Even if there was, it probably wouldn’t have understood how the world works anyway, like the middle-class of today.

Obama gives 2010 Medal of Freedom to George H.W. Bush…but hey, weren’t you supposed to be a progressive?

Honestly Obama, I am not following anymore. You presented yourself as a progressive, somebody who would uphold democratic values and principles. Acccording to your own speeches, you said that America had to cease the « kind of behavior that has affected us for so long »… And now you’re giving Poppy Bush the Medal of Freedom? I think there’s been some kind of a mistake. Haven’t you read Russ Baker’s Family of Secrets and John Loftus’ books? The Bush Family participated in laundering nazi money during WWII, they are apparently linked to a milieu (among other institutions the Office of Policy Coordination and the Department of Justice)  that helped to smuggle nazi war criminals to America, and they made a lot of other things that would be too long here to enumerate. Prescott Bush, the grand-father, and his son, George H.W. Bush, have played a key role in these machinations, while George W. Bush is a more benign figure. Frankly, I think you have mislead us. You are not a progressive. Everything was a deception. Thank you very much for the marvelous show and the terrific emotions that you made us feel. But next time, I think I will go see a movie instead of listening to you. The ‘decoration’ of this great American ‘hero’ happens around 26:30 in the video here. Enjoy.

Condolezza Rice calls for freedom and democracy in Egypt

Jesus…I would like that she would still be around… Listen to her here, in 2005. Obama doesn’t understand anything. He needs to refresh his memory on european, western, christian, democratic values. The way he handles the situation in the Middle East, we are heading for a major catastrophy.

Debates in Australia over the merits of Sharia versus democracy

Really? Is there anyone except Muslims who really believe that Sharia is a better system than democracy? And you, fellow Australians, don’t you have anything else to do than indulging in these pseudo-debates? Because, you know, Muslims can’t have a debate. They have the truth of the Prophet and the Koran…and everybody else is wrong…especially the non-Muslims. You should take care of your land that has been destroyed by the recent floods…That would be a better use of your time. Forget about debates and accommodations. The Gospel is superior! Make it prevail!
