Interview airs in segment #4.
This movie by Zev Deans and Jacqueline Castel presents the heroic work of journalist-researchers Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould. They are among the few American journalists who could actually go to Afghanistan in the ’80s during the war between the U.S.S.R. and proxy Afghan warriors financed and armed by the U.S. After this trip and another one a few years later, they had quite a different story to tell about the war, very different indeed from the one we got through the mass media here in the West. They have presented their findings and conclusions in two books principally, Afghanistan’s Untold Story and Crossing Zero The AfPak War at the Turning Point of American Empire. You can visit their website at invisiblehistory.com. The movie consists mainly of a conference given by Fitzgerald-Gould supplemented by additional footage, pictures, maps, etc, to enhance the experience of viewers. It is certainly a must-watch, especially if you don’t know their work already. For those who would like, I have already covered their great work in this earlier post. Please take the time to see that movie.
In FTR #584, Dave Emory explores several cases of direct manipulation related to world history, where known and accepted facts are being challenged and attacked by presenting alternative and different ones. In a nutshell, the forces of fascism are engaged in a spree of disinformation and propaganda to reprogram the populations to accept their world-views and own version of history. It is quite understandable since they would benefit greatly from a broad public acceptance of these new narratives. Among the many elements studied in this broadcast, there is the ridicule mythology surrounding football star George Gipp and Ronald Reagan used to maintain infantile illusions on a truly corrupted institution; there is the case of Iran, basically a regime based on nazi ideology, that held a Holocaust denial conference recently; the role played by François Genoud and Achmed Huber in the post-war fascist international and their relationships with Islamist elements in the Middle East; the role played by Andreas Von Buelow, an ex-BND (German secret service) agent, who works hard in the so-called « progressive » sector to have the population accept the bogus theory that Israel and the Mossad are behind 9/11; a recall that these same fascist and nazi elements still continue to argue that Roosevelt is responsible for WWII, while it is widely known that Hitler is the main cause of it; the denial of the « Rape of Nanking » when armed forces of fascist Japan massacred and raped hundreds of thousands of civilians in the city of Nanking, China; the constitution of a treasure in Asia called, don’t look at me, Golden Lily, representing the wealth that fascist Japan looted during WWII and that they have hidden somewhere out of reach for the Allies, at which point Emory recalls the marvelous book of pioneer researchers Sterling and Peggy Seagraves titled Golden Lily; and many other elements.
This fascinating and incredibly massive several hour interview features Fara Mansoor, a member of the Iranian Resistance. It was recorded in January and March 1993 on Dave Emory’s radio show, For The Record, during three separate shows. At the time, Dave Emory had a 4-hour airtime format at his disposal. That’s why he could allow his guest to utilize so much space to talk, present and explain all the different connections, details, etc, about this case, and Fara Mansoor certainly didn’t miss such an opportunity. The wealth and scope of detail in Mansoor’s research is absolutely fantastic, impressive and beyond description. In these times of mass media tyranny, where everything is downsized to its simplest expression and where the Twitter format of 140 characters has relegated the classic tools of expression such as the book, the academic journal, the Ph. D. thesis, the university or scientific research to the antics of history, this interview tastes like an oasis of science, research and intelligence.
In these eight segments, representing the first two shows, that I have attached here for you and that you will find regrouped in the second link titled « The Terror Connection », Fara Mansoor explains something that is never presented anywhere else in the media. In a nutshell, these are the basic elements that you will discover:
The received story about the hostage crisis of 1979 and the Iranian Revolution is a lie. In order to understand what has taken place during these crucial months, one has to know certain facts of history. The first and most important, is that the Shah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi, has been brought to political power by a coup d’état fomented by the CIA against the moderate and Moscow-backed goverment of Mossadegh in 1953. The connections between U.S. intelligence agencies and governements and the regime of Iran are overt. What is the link between that and the Iranian Revolution, you will ask? This: Richard Helms, former CIA director (1966-1973) and then U.S. ambassador in Iran (1973-1976), learned around 1975 that the Shah had cancer. So the geo-political and geo-strategical motivations that were behind the destitution — because that’s exactly what we are talking about here — of Mohammad Mossadegh in 1953 were sent back in motion again. But this time, it would be the Shah who will have to be replaced by again another fierce anti-communist. Lire la suite
