Hitler Lives: A 1945 propaganda movie…or the wolves in sheeps clothing

This fantastic little film made in 1945 just after the war is a fine example of classic propaganda. The enemy is demonized, portrayed as the ultimate evil, etc. But the problem is that…roughly, it’s true. Germans are a ruthless people. They are as savage as any other nation with imperialistic ambitions can be. They want to conquer the world and rule it as emperors and dictators, not as liberal democrats. Starting in 1870, they were at the onset of every major conflict in the world. And if you look at their mythology, the Nordic/Germanic/Scandinavian myths, legends and stories, you will see that there is no trace of democracy, freedom of speech, love of one’s neighbour, sharing or giving to people in need. This mythology presents stories of warriors who fought to win. Period. There is no project of civilization, no one for the betterment of mankind, nothing in terms of social progress. In fact, the mythology is the complete opposite of the Judeo-Christian tradition in which the things that I have mentioned are important and take a central role. No. The Nordic/Germanic/Scandinavian mythology aims at one thing: conquer and rule. So it is no surprise if Germans tried on three different occasions in the last century to install their domination over the world.

One element that is tremendously important in this movie, is the assumption that Nazis are now (in 1945) in America planning for the next war. The film shows images of Nazi Party rallies in the U.S. where the swastika and the U.S. flag are side by side. And the narrator goes on to say that now they (the Nazis) are among us, trying to set the conditions necessary for them to establish their fascist state. Well…when you look at all the events that took place since 1945 in the U.S. and throughout the world, one has to be a fool to think that it is not exactly what has been taken place. Just think how our rights have diminished and are ridiculed now. Certain things that are going on today would have been literally impossible in the ’70 when I was a little kid. And when you look at the general level of intelligence, understanding and awareness that standard citizens possess today compared to what it was in the ’70 at the height of the Flower Power movement, of the Return-to-the-Land movement, etc, you will see that that level has decreased significantly. Conversations on politics, values and moral issues that were standard, normal and appreciated in these days are now marginal, exceptional and sometimes judged non-relevant, non-productive, boring or even suspect, curious, or labelled as « conspiracy theory ». Pulling the plug on the clenched fist: Resistance 1.0

© Laurent Renault | Dreamstime.com

Hello folks. If you ever took the habit of clicking once in a while on this blog, you probably have noticed that I am not using anymore the clenched fist as the logo for the motto section. In effect, I have become annoyed by its use in the present culture of protests and demonstrations, and I decided to pull the plug. From Communist China or Intifada useful fools to Greek protesters or Muslim jihadists, the clenched fist have surfaced all over the place in the last weeks. But everytime it is used, it is in a context of either socialist or communist propaganda or during protests or demonstrations that often turn to riot or mayhem. Well…I don’t know if I have anything to do with the raising popularity of the clenched fist but I certainly never said to riot or damage property, or to use it to brainwash populations through propaganda. When I decided to use the clenched fist, it was in a spirit of trying to stimulate a reaction to the corruption and corrosion of the world, not to encourage people to behave like jerks and punks. With this blog, I am trying to support people to do things that are superior in quality, nature and consciousness to the usual behaviors of  the masses. Apparently, some people got me wrong.

That’s why I am re-focusing your attention on another symbol, the exact one on which this website is based, the lys d’or. It is the flower that symbolises french royalty. Its fragrance fulfils the air with democracy, freedom, freedom of speech, consciousness, awareness, civilized behavior, intelligence and values of the gospel. Whether you like it or not, everytime you will come to this site, it is that fragrance that you will smell. Putting a flower to your nose will be easier on you at first than a clenched fist, but in the long run, it might reveal just more efficient. Everyone who come to this site, you have been warned: this is not a blog for idiots or punks. I am trying to elevate your spirits, not to degrade you to the rank of animals. If you are using the clenched fist to riot, that’s your call but that is not what I teach. If you decide to do it anyway and not to follow what I recommend, you are on your own. The lys d’or will continue its course without you. Its cruel but that’s the way it is gonna be.

The national securities regulatory agency and the Canadian « Federation » great power swindle

New Brunswick took a stand recently against the national securities regulatory agency, and so three other provinces. Combined with Quebec and Alberta, that makes a total of six provinces that have rejected this project of national agency. Is this a sign that finally provinces begin to get the idea about the nature of the federal government in Canada? If you look at history, the document that was signed in 1867 by the Province of Canada (Quebec and Ontario), Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, was a confederation document, not a federation one. Because of the two World Wars and others circumstances, the federal government progressively took control of powers and responsibilities that were legally under the jurisdiction of the provinces until then. To this day, these powers and responsiblities have not been given back to the provinces.

Apparently, New Brunswick is beginning to be tired of this centralist federalism that has never ended up advantaging them. The union of these six provinces is definitely the sign that after a century and a half, people have finally awaken and realized that they have been had. Canada as it is today, is not the country that their forefathers wished for and it is not the one neither that was written down in the Confederation agreement. The decisive aspect of this issue is definitely the convergence of voices of other — finally! — provinces in the arena of criticism aimed at the federal government. For decades Quebec has been alone doing that, well, at least we feel it was, but now that has changed. After repeated separatist/sovereignist speeches and discussions, other Canadians in position of power begin to realize that we could get much more out of the Canadian « Federation », if only the funding document of this country was respected.

In an earlier post, I have written that the union of interests and strategy of the provinces of Quebec and Alberta could be the beginning of a new Canada. Well, ideally, the best would be for all provinces to jump in the bandwagon of affirmation and territorial sovereignty. A confederation is a union of sovereign states, binded together by a central institution that acts only as a musical director or choreographer. The musicians or dancers are not the slaves, employees or butlers of the director or choreographer. They are rather artists who deliver art and performance under the guidance and leadership of such figures. It is a huge difference. So I take with great pleasure these expressions of sovereignty by the provinces. I guess they are the ultimate signs that finally, the country, which used to be only a colony in which everybody could pillage the resources and exploit the inhabitants, has taken the path toward political maturity. If this present trend keeps growing and gives fruition, instead of being a mere banana republic in the western hemisphere, Canada will be able to be recognized as a real and mature nation.
