Lisez cet excellent dossier de La Presse sur les dépassements de coûts au niveau du projet de train de banlieue dit « Train de l’Est ». Selon l’analyse faite par le quotidien, le tracé du train aurait été établi pour accommoder des entrepreneurs en construction immobilière, pour stimuler le marché du condominium. En effet, le nouveau train passera dans des zones faiblement peuplées, ce qui est illogique, à moins que ce ne soit précisément pour favoriser le développement de nouveaux quartiers. Je vous pose la question: Êtes-vous surpris?

Je vous invite à écouter ce commentaire d’Antoine Robitaille, journaliste au Devoir, lors de l’émission de Benoit Dutrizac sur les ondes du 98,5 FM. Chroniqueur quotidien de l’émission, Robitaille fait remarquer, avec une très grande justesse, que si certains reprochent à Duchesneau d’avoir excéder son mandat en faisant des déclarations dans les médias sur son rapport mais surtout en plaidant ouvertement pour la tenue d’une enquête publique, Robert Lafrenière vient de commettre exactement la même « erreur » cette semaine, en recommandant de ne pas la tenir. Y aurait-il deux poids deux mesures? Si c’était un impair de prendre position pour Duchesneau, ça doit l’être aussi pour Lafrenière. Franchement, ça commence à sentir le roussi et la combine politique. Si jamais il finit par en avoir une, une enquête publique, il y a fort à parier qu’elle tournera en cirque comme la Commission Bastarache.

Le nouvel épisode de cette série traite d’une curieuse « perte » de 1,2 milliard$ qui aurait été encourue au Mouvement Desjardins. Un recours collectif a été intenté pour récupérer cette somme perdue par des milliers de petits investisseurs. Les produits « Placement garanti Perspectives Plus » et « Placement garanti Gestion Active » sont en cause dans ce litige. Le 1,2 milliard serait le résultat d’une perte en capital et en absence de rendement, alors que les produits en question ont été présentés comme étant à faible risque et sécuritaires. Où est rendu le 1,2 milliard? Sûrement pas dans nos poches, nous les petits épargnants. Où est rendu l’argent?
Republican Reverse Robbing Hoods, part II: The Koch brothers caught pants down
Peter B. Collins receives Brad Friedman of BradBlog.com with groundbreaking news. Friedman succeeded to get access to a recording of the Summer Seminar organized by the Koch brothers in 2011 in Vail, Colorado. An anonymous source who participated in this activity taped key portions of this Seminar, featuring both Charles and David Koch, Governor Chris Christie and Judge Napolitano, and provided Brad Friedman with the recording. Friedman posted the complete audio and transcript of it on his blog and released the story as well to Mother Jones publication. Well, the revelations of this recording are so juicy and crusty. While listening to this tape, we have the « pleasure » of hearing Charles Koch referring curiously to Saddam Hussein while he speaks about defeating Obama, David Koch talking about Governor Chris Christie as « my kind of guy », speakers describing how the rich are the victims of an evil Obama, and how Democrats have been stupid (I agree with that statement!) to accept cuts in social programs and the social safety net, etc. Overall, you will hear a bunch of ultra-rich potentates showing absolutely no respect for the poor and the people who suffer in the lower classes. After years of constant attacks and attempts to rob and crush the poor and the middle class in the U.S. during the Bush Administration, a « second wave » is now under way with these neo-extreme-right activists, who for the most part stay in the shadows, well hidden behind the Tea Party useful fools. But now they have been masterfully exposed and showed for what they trully are by this anonymous inside source and by investigative journalist Brad Friedman. I have joined the podcast of Brad Friedman’s interview with Peter B. Collins, some of the related articles published on Mother Jones, and the integral audio files and transcripts of the recording of the Summer Seminar, posted on BradBlog.com. Excellent work, guys! Excellent anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory has been working as well on the Koch brothers case for some time. In particular, FTR #726 is of great interest to get acquainted more with these shadowy figures of American politics. What the Koch brothers are proposing to America leads directly to fascism. In effect, their machinations and use of the Tea Party clearly intends to repel the New Deal implemented by Roosevelt to replace it by something that would go along the lines of Mussolini’s Corporate State. The Golden Lily and the Lys d’Or: Hey crooks, give us back our wealth!

The Golden Lily is a sort of buried treasure. It is composed of the immense loot of gold made by Japan during WWII. A good chunk of it has been safe-housed in the Philippines, for an estimated value, in 1942 dollars, of 100 billions. In FTR #688, Dave Emory explores this fascinating case about global economy, war crime and high finance. Even before the war, the U.S., Japan, Germany and Italy were cartel partners. So it is no surprise if that loot of gold, and the loot of the Third Reich as a whole, came to become the basis for post-WWII world economy. An institution called the Black Eagle Trust has been instrumental in these matters. Several banking institutions have come to play an important role as holders for the gold and/or for its monetary value, such as Union Bank of Switzerland and Citigroup. Emory’s broadcast is based on a fascinating book written by Sterling and Peggy Seagrave and titled Gold Warriors. According to their research, it appears that in Japan the Royal Family, organized crime, the armed forces, corporations and the secret service were all involved in the rise of fascism and with the organization of all its manoeuvres, including the loot of gold. After the war, the de-fascismization of Japan has been a farce and the same with the de-nazification of Germany.
It is a fascinating story. The thing I like a little less, is the correspondence between the name that has been chosen for this loot, Golden Lily, and the very name of my blog, Lys d’Or. I am not sure exactly what Japanese fascists mean by that. Golden obviously refers to gold, but Lily? In my case, the Lys d’Or is the emblem or symbol of French Royalty. If you have had the occasion to browse through the permanent pages of this site, you have seen what I mean by that. But I have slightly altered its meaning to empower the individual instead of monarchs crowned through heredity. We are Kings and Queens. We don’t need no hierarchies. And the thing that pisses me off the most is that, again, it is the bad guys who have the power, the money and the wealth. If I had the wealth of the Golden Lily, it is incredible the things that I could do to help people, develop communities, supports sectors in need, encourage good scientific research, publish non-conventional authors and scientist, etc, etc. But I can’t…because it is the bad guys who have the Golden Lily…while all I have to make a difference is my blog. If I had this wealth, we wouldn’t need any police or intelligence agencies anymore to plot, scheme and sabotage to control the world or to be able to pick up a few crumbles here and there left without surveillance by our adversaries. You see, unfortunately, the people who govern the Earth today possess three basic characteristics: they are crazy, they are fools and they are crooks. If you have got a comprehension of these characteristics, you are in a position to understand a lot of things, even if you are not officially « in the know ».
The only solution for the people who believe in progress, democracy, liberty, freedom of speech, the bill of rights and the constitution, is to do exactly what these crooks from the Underground Reich have done to the liberal world. We need to infiltrate them and cannibalize them from the inside out. It may take 500 years or longer, but in the end we will win, if we show enough resilience. Rising social inequalities favor growth of conservative values and thinking
Who could have guessed that, seriously? I always thought that social inequalities favor the growth of left-wing activists and pressure groups but, according to a new study by the University of Tennessee, it seems that it is the opposite. A decrease in income and wealth favor the development of conservative values. No kidding. Check this out.
Pat Condell on riots in Britain and other subjects
I present you a couple of Pat Condell’s last videos. The first deals with riots in Britain. You can feel and see his frustration and anger about the bunch of assholes who desecrated with their behavior the beautiful country that used to be England until recently. I share his frustrations. While the words might be a little harsh, tough, they nevertheless express the reality of things and that’s why it is important to hear them. The second deals about Norway’s killer, Anders Behring Breivik, the third about the treason and cowardice of the Left and all their pricks (who would have guessed?), and the last about the poison that is Islam for any society. These four videos relate to one another in substance as they deal with the slow descent of our society into fascism, whether we like it or not. It is always a pleasure to hear Pat Condell. His input is informative and relevant, while being most of the times funny and relaxing as well. In this era of political correctness, that is refreshing.
