Les Sikhs sont-ils capables de faire des accommodements?
Cette semaine, un groupe de quatre Sikhs s’est fait refuser l’accès à l’Assemblée nationale parce qu’ils désiraient entrer avec leur kirpan. Ils venaient y présenter leur mémoire sur le projet de loi 94 sur les accommodements religieux… Tarek Fatah nous rappelle sur sa page facebook que le kirpan n’est pas autorisé au Parlement de l’Inde…et on devrait l’autoriser ici? Parce que, pour continuez l’histoire, les Sikhs sont repartis penauds leur kirpan à la ceinture…En d’autres termes, ils auraient pu donner l’exemple en laissant leurs armes à la sécurité pour les reprendre en sortant. Je pense que, symboliquement, pour faire avancer leurs propos, ils auraient pu utiliser ce geste pour démontrer leur bonne foi. Mais non…car après tout, ce sont les autres, les occidentaux, qui doivent faire des accommodements, pas les Sikhs…
