This documentary details and explains the Armenian genocide. The massacre of the Armenians began at the end of the 19th century. Between 1894 and 1896, roughly 200,000 Armenians were killed in battles between Armenian nationalists and armies of the Ottoman Empire. However, the Young Turks Party took power in Turkey in 1908 after the Sultan was removed and the conditions of the Armenians improved for a while. Then in 1912-13, Christian regions of the empire, namely in the Balkans, such as Greece, Romania, Serbia and Bulgaria, challenged militarily the Ottoman Empire to get their independance. And they succeeded. Thousands of Muslim Turk refugees gathered at Istanbul as a result, thus creating tensions between Christians and Muslims. In 1913, a radical wing of the Young Turks Party, the Commitee of Union and Progress, formed as a coalition featuring three prominent leaders: TanЯT, who would become Minister of the Interior, EHBep who would become Minister of Defence and AҖaman, who would become Minister of the Navy. They embraced an ideology of Turkish nationalism. EHBep wanted especially to join Germany with its war against the Russians and then seize the occasion to conquer the Caucasus and Central Asia to be able to unite all the Turks in a Grand Turkey.
Some Armenians chose to fight on the side of Russia. In 1914, the Turks attacked the Russians and suffered a terrible defeat. Then the Turks disarmed the Armenian soldiers, in a move to neutralize them as possible collaborators with the Russians. Many were killed. On April 24th 1915, the Turkish government deported some 250 Armenian intellectuals to Constantinople where they were tortured or killed. Later, through « emergency executive legislations », the Turkish government undertook massive deportations of Armenians. Some one million people died as a result, either from hunger, sickness, extreme fatigue, dehydration, etc. Furthermore, the « Special Organization », a smaller group inside the CUP, were dedicated to the extermination of the Armenians. They formed mobile killing units. They recruited among criminals, the lumpenproletariat, Caucasian tribes, convicts and released prisoners, to stop Armenian convoys and murder their travellers.
A lot of people in the U.S. were aware that this massacre was happening and were publicly taking stands on the issue, such as Ezra Pound, Theodor Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, etc. The New York Times published tens of articles contemporary to the massacre. After the war, the Turkish military tribunal conducted a trial on the case and concluded that the Young Turks Party was responsible for the conception, organization and execution of the Armenian genocide. In absentia, TanЯT, EHBep and AҖaman were convicted and sentenced to death. Although they fled at the end of the war and went into hiding in neighbour countries, all three were killed within a few years, one after the other. To this day, the Turkish government still refuse to ackknowledge that such genocide took place. There is even a movement among the Turkish population and officials to openly denigrate its advocates. This amounts, in some respect, to holocaust denial. But, after all, for a nation that has been working hand in hand with Germany in both WWI and WWII, is it really surprising? I have assembled a few posts and articles about the rise of fascism, or eventually simply strong nationalism, I hope, in Hungary. The first two posts by radio personality and anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory contain, besides the analysis itself, several commentaries and articles in reference that provide complementary information. I suggest that you review the whole thing. The other two articles, in the French language, refer to that change of policy in Hungary as rather the expression of a strong nationalism or of an anthoritarian attitude. In the end, it is only the future that will tell us if democracy will prevail in Hungary.

These two documentaries tell a sad story, one that we would rather not hear. But these days, bad news are about pretty much what we hear all day long anyway, so let’s get to it. Monsanto is this big giant corporation that has got its hands on the food industry since a couple of decades. They were known before for their chemical products, such as Agent Orange, aspartame, PCBs, polystyrene, and more recently for the famous Roundup Ready herbicide. Since they have patented genetically modified organisms, such as soy beans, they have literally ruined the life of countless farmers who simply wanted to make a decent living out of their land and farming. Now, due to business contracts with Monsanto for the use of their seeds, often signed under pressure or threats of being put out of business, they live under the burden of heavy obligations. And their production is diminishing, like if it was not enough, and the quality has decreased. Furthermore, if farmers don’t use GMOs seeds provided by Monsanto, they often find themselves annoyed with lawsuits, surveilled and investigated by the corporation agents, allegedly because their lands have been contaminated by cross aerial pollination, from whatever source, thus constituting an infringement of patent rights. Farmers, from dignified members of our society have been retrograded into serfs, like if we were back in the Middle Ages.
Personally, I am disgusted by this. Humans didn’t create life forms. They don’t belong to them. Remember the text of Genesis? I am afraid that, again, it is yet another trick used by the fascists of this world, call them globalists if you want, to control the world’s supply of food. Their first goal is to eliminate competition. If they make everybody working for them, then they don’t have to worry about it. Second, it looks like a strategy to control who has the right to eat and eat what, and who is allowed to grow food… You guessed it, in other terms, those who comply with these giant corporations like Monsanto. The nightmares of population reduction are coming back. By taking control of the food supply and by transforming life forms into property, Monsanto has crossed the line between legitimate business and criminal enterprise. What is the next step? Putting a patent on the air, water…and on certain breeds of animals and humans? I am telling you, no need to watch horror movies. You have the horror right here in front of you with the business of GMOs patented under law. On top of that, it appears that Monsanto provided either false or misleading information to the Canadian and American authorities when they presented the project of GMOs for approval. This fascinating and incredibly massive several hour interview features Fara Mansoor, a member of the Iranian Resistance. It was recorded in January and March 1993 on Dave Emory’s radio show, For The Record, during three separate shows. At the time, Dave Emory had a 4-hour airtime format at his disposal. That’s why he could allow his guest to utilize so much space to talk, present and explain all the different connections, details, etc, about this case, and Fara Mansoor certainly didn’t miss such an opportunity. The wealth and scope of detail in Mansoor’s research is absolutely fantastic, impressive and beyond description. In these times of mass media tyranny, where everything is downsized to its simplest expression and where the Twitter format of 140 characters has relegated the classic tools of expression such as the book, the academic journal, the Ph. D. thesis, the university or scientific research to the antics of history, this interview tastes like an oasis of science, research and intelligence.

The received story about the hostage crisis of 1979 and the Iranian Revolution is a lie. In order to understand what has taken place during these crucial months, one has to know certain facts of history. The first and most important, is that the Shah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi, has been brought to political power by a coup d’état fomented by the CIA against the moderate and Moscow-backed goverment of Mossadegh in 1953. The connections between U.S. intelligence agencies and governements and the regime of Iran are overt. What is the link between that and the Iranian Revolution, you will ask? This: Richard Helms, former CIA director (1966-1973) and then U.S. ambassador in Iran (1973-1976), learned around 1975 that the Shah had cancer. So the geo-political and geo-strategical motivations that were behind the destitution — because that’s exactly what we are talking about here — of Mohammad Mossadegh in 1953 were sent back in motion again. Asian analyst Gordon Chang speaks extensively with radio host Frank Gaffney of the Center For Security Policy about the future of North Korea and of the whole region, now that Kim Jong-Il has died. Will his successor, Kim Jong-Un, be able to keep the reins of power or will he be toppled by the army? How will China react to any significant change within the regime?
