Debunking the fifth column, part 1: Controlled-demolishing the Truthers
Since 9/11, anti-fascist researcher and radio host Dave Emory has made considerable efforts to convince people not to join the « Truthers ». For those who don’t know, the Truthers are these political activists who try to convince America and the world that 9/11 was an « inside job » and that explosives or missiles were used to bring down the WTC. Of course, everything Truthers present is just an amount of B.S. Real science and just pure good common sense prove it rather quickly. However, there are still people drawn to these bogus explanations. And for reason. Their media representatives are good, talented and they manage to convince at least a part of the crowd. After studying them for several years, I came to the conclusion that the Truthers were in fact the media apparatus of a fifth column in waiting in the U.S. to overthrow the goverment. Their job is to cover the tracks of the real perpetrators of 9/11. Their rhetoric is overtly fascist, if you take the time to listen. FTR #599 show that follows is one the best presentation made to debunk the fallacious claims of the Truthers. Emory accessed various documents and studies produced by industry professionals expert in the field of controlled demolition (italics mine: L.d.). These must not be mistaken for the so-called « Engineers for Truth » about 9/11, who are as bogus as their claims. Brent Blanchard of Protec Documentation Services company has produced a document that is controlled-demolishing piece by piece the assertions of the Truthers.
In a nushell, what I want you to realize is that this line of rhetoric is the product of a fifth column ready to and trying to seize power. Don’t listen to their sirens. Because once you kiss them, you will realize that they are sharks in fact, and it could be too late. I have added another blog post by Dave Emory dealing with this topic and a second website you can visit, besides all the above mentioned, hoping that it will convince you to flush this so-called « truth » about 9/11.

Interview with Robert Parry on For The Record: The Bushes and the bin Ladens helped each other
This great interview with Robert Parry of the Consortiumnews website by anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory must be listened to. For lots of reasons but especially because we never get to hear the full story in the mainstream media, as well as in the so-called « alternative » media, on anything. It is always one side of the coin only, if ever one side is covered correctly without ideological biases, preconceptions, prejudices, etc. The received rhetorical line concerning 9/11 and its aftermath goes like this: « The evil Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaeda warriors have attacked America. George W. Bush, as a true Commander-in-Chief, has stood up against these bloodthirsty terrorists and he is making sure that America stays safe and secure. He has struck back at them by going to war in Afghanistan and in Iraq ». That’s the way it goes.
Well…like it is often the case in life, it is not that simple. To begin with, let me remind you of a couple of things. First, in 2001, the Bushes and the bin Ladens were on the board of directors of the Carlyle Group, which Dave Emory has studied and presented in For The Record # 347. The Carlyle Group is one of the most influential investment firms of the world. Only the greatest of all get the chance to sit on that precious panel. And on the day of September 11th 2001, they just happened to hold their annual investment conference. Probably only just a coincidence, one could say. Members could then watch live the events unfolding in Manhattan. Among others, Frank Carlucci and James Baker III were present. Second, let me remind you as well that on September 12th, when nobody else could fly in the U.S., 12 members of the bin Laden family were flown out of the country. Third, both the chief of intelligence for Saudi Arabia and the head of the FBI were replaced in the weeks just prior to 9/11, which is rather curious and frightening, to say the least.
All things considered, the « war on terror » has been good for both the Bushes and the bin Ladens. For George W. Bush, this war has allowed him to be in the spotlight and be admired as the great defender of America, to acquire additional powers for his presidency and finally to shout out all those who were contesting (rightfully) the validity of his election at the detriment of Al Gore. And for the bin Ladens, the war on terror allowed Osama to strengthen the cause of Al Qaeda and recruit new warriors. In 2004, only four days before the presidential election, Osama bin Laden released a video in which he denounced George W. Bush. Intelligence analysts at the CIA were of the opinion that Osama bin Laden was in fact trying to help George W. getting reelected. In effect, such a virulent attack against Bush by Osama before the election was obviously recuperated by the Republican team as an endorsement of John Kerry. That was enough to swing the vote in favor of George W. And why would Osama do such a thing, would you ask? Because Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda didn’t want the U.S. out of Iraq, U.S. troops being too good for the cause of Al Qaeda.
Mr Parry talks about a lot of other different relevant points. One of them is the obvious biased coverage by the press of the performance of Democrat politicians. Robert Parry explains that a game of professional credibility assessment was at play in the media, as Conservative politicians were quite often accusing journalists of being « liberal ». Reporters reacted to these accusations by becoming harder and tougher on Democrats, unfairly most of the times, to establish their credibility, with the unfortunate consequence that Al Gore was treated miserably. La maison d’édition américaine Random House vient de publier le livre de Mimi Alford Once Upon a Secret couvrant la relation amoureuse qu’elle aurait entretenue avec John F. Kennedy. Bien qu’il soit intéressant et toujours utile d’en savoir davantage sur les personnalités publiques et leurs actions, je dois vous avouer mon scepticisme dans ce dossier, surtout depuis que je me suis aperçu que le livre a été publié par la maison d’édition Random House. Random House, qui est la plus importante maison d’édition en langue anglaise, est la propriété de Bertelsmann, une maison d’édition allemande. Or, Bertelsmann était la firme qui publait la littérature nazie durant la guerre. Cela n’implique pas nécessairement que les dirigeants de cette maison d’édition soient des nazis mais la question de l’héritage est importante dans une maison d’édition car elle teinte forcément les orientations et décisions éditoriales qui sont prises.
Donc, je pose la question: Bertelsmann, par l’entremise de sa filiale Random House, en profite-t-elle avec ce livre pour se payer un Démocrate? En d’autres termes, en profite-t-elle pour essayer de salir la mémoire des Américains au sujet d’un Président qui fut, somme toute, un libéral, quelqu’un qui croyait à la démocratie, qui respectait le peuple, la Constitution et la Charte des Droits et Libertés? La question se pose tout à fait, surtout si l’on considère que Dirk Bavendamm, l’historien officiel de Bertelsmann, s’est lancé depuis quelques décennies déjà dans un exercice de réécriture de l’histoire, surtout celle de la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale. Par exemple en 1983, il a publié le livre Roosevelts Weg Zum Krieg dans lequel il prétend que c’est en fait Roosevelt qui a commencé la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale, que ce sont les Juifs américains qui contrôlent les médias et autres mensonges révisionnistes. Bertelsmann, sous la conduite de Dirk Bavendamm, a publié plusieurs autres ouvrages allant dans le même sens. Donc, dans la mesure où ceux qui ont intérêt à ce que la mémoire de Kennedy soit entachée dans l’esprit du peuple américain sont probablement les mêmes qui l’ont fait assassiner, on peut se poser des questions sur les motifs réels de Random House/Bertelsmann de publier ce livre. Ce qui n’enlève rien, soit dit en passant, à la véracité des propos que Mimi Alford y raconte. La prudence est de mise ici.
