Saudi Arabia and SunNews Network: Theocracy versus Liberal Democracy

Watch these two SunNews videos (the first two links). They are about an ongoing broil between the government of Saudi Arabia and Canadian broadcasters. The whole thing started with an add presented by EthicalOil.org, a NGO website that encourages people to buy oil from countries that embody liberal democracy principles, such as freedom of speech, human rights, and not to buy it from countries, like Saudi Arabia, that do the opposite. The add focuses more specifically on women’s rights and Saudi Arabia is given as an example to the contrary. Apparently, the Saudi government issued threats to broadcasters, such as CTV, to cease and desist running the add. The tv network, having to choose between principles and business considerations, decided to pull out the add to save legal expenses, among other things. In other words, they caved, instead of fighting to defend and save democracy and its principles. In the first video, you will see a short response from minister Jason Kenney. I like his tone of voice. In the second video, you’ll see Ezra Levant commenting on the situation. He brings, with great accuracy, the role that should play feminists in a situation like that, while we don’t hear them at all, and the same with the CBC…but we are not surprised. Toronto newspapers fortunately have talked about it and, evidently, SunNews Network.

Overall, I must say that I am beginning to be rather tired of the cowardice of our elites. CBC’s behavior in this is outrageous but, as I said, I am not surprised. They seem to have a bias in favor of Middle East petro-dollars. We can see it clearly when they cover news about Israel. The Jewish state is always portrayed as the bad guys, and Arab or Muslim states always as the good ones. So is it surprising that they keep silent about something that embarrasses their « partners »? Probably not. The CTV behaves as cowards too, motivated by profit and short-term business relations. And the most digusting behavior of all comes from those whom we would expect it the least, the feminists. It is curious. When I was growing up in the ’70s and ’80s, men’s behavior were scrupulously studied, analyzed, observed, and if one of them was caught doing something judged not « acceptable », he was lynched in the media, in the public arena and his whole career and life were ruined. I have the impression that men are not equally treated on the Earth. If you are a man of colour, especially an Arab, you can treat women like animals and do anything with them. Feminists in the western world don’t give a damn. But if you have the unfortunate characteristic of being a white western male, then you are considered guilty as charged and feminists will make sure that you are accused and brought to justice for stuff that, all things considered, are not that terrible if you compare them with things going on in the Middle East. Feminists apply a logic that is beyond logic: the worst you behave with women, the best treatment you get; the best you behave with them, the worst you are treated. Continuer la lecture →

Le Doc Mailloux sur le traitement de la schizophrénie…et l’Université de Montréal

Retrouvez ici l’excellent Doc Mailloux dans une entrevue faite par des étudiants sur la schizophrénie. En gros, voici les points importants de ses propos. La schizophrénie est une maladie génétique. Les conflits intra-familiaux peuvent nuire ou ralentir son traitement. Les personnes souffrant de schizophrénie sont imprévisibles et dangereuses. Lorsqu’elles sont en crise, elles peuvent ne ressentir aucune douleur même si elles se blessent gravement. 10% d’entre elles se suicident et 30% font une tentative. C’est la maladie la plus coûteuse au Canada. Certaines drogues, comme le PCP, la cocaïne, les amphétamines, l’ecstasy, peuvent déclencher de façon prématurée le début de la maladie et les premiers symptômes. Montréal ne prend pas bien soin de ses schizophrènes, on le voit par le nombre important d’itinérants qui parlent tout seul ou délirent.

Les psychiatres de l’Université de Montréal ne veulent rien savoir de Pierre Mailloux, puisqu’ils ont une approche des maladies mentales totalement opposée. Ils souffrent probablement d’envie professionnelle, selon Mailloux. En effet, ce dernier a réussi à obtenir des résultats éloquents là où des myriades de pseudo-experts provenant des universités ont lamentablement échoué. Le type de traitement qu’il prône est le suivant: ne pas maintenir les patients à l’hôpital, les faire sortir mais en s’occupant d’eux convenablement, en les traitant et en les suivant. La désinstitutionnalisation commencée en 1958 et qui a atteint son apogée lors de la « réforme » Rochon, représente une catastrophe puisqu’elle a fait sortir les malades psychiatriques des hôpitaux pour les abandonner ensuite sans traitement. Le Doc conclut l’entrevue en disant que les psychiatres québécois sont de mauvais cliniciens…

Je suis d’accord à 100% avec tout ce que le Doc Mailloux affirme ici. Je n’ai donc pas d’autres commentaires. Je vous laisse écouter l’entrevue en quatre parties. Je vous propose aussi une entrevue réalisée par Benoit Dutrizac avec Ghislain Rousseau, co-propriétaire de la boutique Fétiche Armada située dans le quartier gay de Montréal. Il dénonce lui aussi que les itinérants qui déambulent dans le quartier semblent souvent aux prises avec des problèmes de santé mentale et qu’ils ne sont visiblement pas traités.

Luc Ferrandez, baron du Plateau-Mont-Royal: Lorsque la haine de la voiture rime avec décroissance économique

Je ne sais pas si vous êtes comme moi mais depuis que Luc Ferrandez est arrivé à la mairie d’arrondissement du Plateau-Mont-Royal, on dirait que rien ne va plus dans le quartier. Je suis arrivé à Montréal en 1993. Spontanément et sans le savoir, j’ai loué un appartement sur le Plateau, à l’époque où il y avait presque autant de logements disponibles que d’habitants et où les prix étaient encore abordables. En fait, le quartier était assez pauvre. Ça, c’était avant qu’il ne s’embourgeoise. Aujourd’hui, les logements locatifs sont devenus rares et très dispendieux et pas seulement sur le Plateau. Aussitôt que j’ai emménagé, j’ai noté que le Plateau était animé d’une vie palpitante, excitante. Les citoyens de tous les quartiers et d’ailleurs aimaient venir s’y retrouver. La circulation automobile, cycliste et en patins était abondante et les jours d’été, des milliers de passants venaient agrémenter les trottoirs et terrasses. Lorsque le quartier s’est embourgeoisé vers la fin des années 1990, je n’ai pas noté de baisse d’achalandage de la circulation, ni de l’activité commerciale ou autre. C’est seulement la clientèle qui a changé. La classe moyenne s’est installée et l’on a vu la classe des travailleurs, dont j’étais, et les pauvres, être chassés vers la périphérie. Le condominium a alors envahi le marché de l’immobilier, ne laissant plus que des banlieusards-toujours-en-ville pour peupler le quartier. The controlled demolition of America on 9/11, part II: Richard Clarke’s allegations and the Underground Reich

Decidedly, the 9/11 case is the worst of all times. Not only there are countless dimensions and connections to be aware of and that need to be stressed but in the end, there are so many threads that one has difficulty keeping the focus on what really matters. In part I, I took a look at the direct links between the reactionary religious bigotry that is encouraged in Saudi Arabia and terrorism activity in general in the years just prior to 9/11. The Saudi connection seemed to have played a major role in the engineering, crafting and carrying of the 9/11 attacks. In another post a few days earlier, I took a look at the connections between international drug cartels and the hijackers. Let me recall that Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi infiltrated the Iran-Contra network involved in drug trafficking that was still in use at the time of 9/11.

This second part article will take a look rather on the flipside of part I. I will try to provide a picture of what could have gone wrong inside the U.S. to have 9/11 happened despite all the intelligence agencies, the FBI and all the capable people within the government. As a starting point, I will bring to your attention something that has made the news in the progressive sector last week but that was totally ignored, or close to that, in the mainstream press. Two young producers, Ray Nowosielski and John Duffy, made an interview with Richard Clarke, NSC Chief of Counterterrorism from 1992-2001, in October 2009. They recently launched a website to publish the interview and related articles and news. The site was temporarily taken offline due to CIA legal threats. To sum things up, Richard Clarke alleges that he was kept in the dark about the presence in the U.S. of two Al-Qaeda agents, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, that would become some of the hijackers that flew American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon. His allegations concern directly three key individuals who were within the government apparatus at the time of 9/11, George Tenet, head of the CIA, Cofer Black, head of the Counterterrorism Center of the CIA, and Richard Blee, who was made Chief of bin Laden Unit in 1999 at Alec station, a listening post in the Middle East dedicated to Al-Qaeda. Benoit Dutrizac en entrevue avec Amir Khadir sur le rapport de l’Unité anti-corruption: Aie confiance…

Cette dernière entrevue de Benoit Dutrizac avec Amir Khadir ressemble à toutes les autres données par le chef du Parti Québec Solidaire. Lorsqu’il s’adresse à la presse ou à l’Assemblée Nationale, Amir Khadir prend un ton solennel, digne, empreint de droiture morale. Benoit Dutrizac l’a sollicité en entretien en ce 15 septembre 2011 afin d’obtenir ses réactions suite à la publication du rapport de l’Unité anti-corruption, mais aussi pour souligner en fait sa contribution à l’évolution de ce dossier. Rappelons que c’est lui, par la présentation de faits nouveaux qu’il avait portés à l’attention des membres de l’Assemblée Nationale, qui avait alerté l’opinion publique sur toute la question de la corruption et de la collusion dans l’industrie de la construction et des liens qu’elle entretient avec le financement des partis politiques. D’accord. Rendons à César ce qui revient à César.

Néanmoins, je dois vous avouer ma déception quant à la performance de Benoit Dutrizac durant cette entrevue. Je comprends que Dutrizac soit ravi et satisfait que finalement l’on obtienne des preuves pour donner de la substance aux allégations qui planent au-dessus des secteurs de la construction et du financement des partis politiques. Mais il y a des limites à être distrait par une bonne nouvelle. L’Amir Khadir qui a mis au jour ce problème de corruption et de collusion au Québec est le même qui s’est fait le parrain depuis un an d’une campagne de salissage et de délégitimation de la communauté juive et de l’état d’Israel. Ce qu’il leur fait subir n’est pas autre chose que de l’antisémitisme, même si certains puristes parlent plutôt d’antisionisme. Avec justesse, un auditeur est intervenu dans la conversation en envoyant un courriel à Dutrizac qu’il a lu en ondes, mais en s’excusant presque de le faire. Le courriel demandait à Khadir pourquoi il n’organisait pas de manifestation pour lutter contre ce problème de corruption dans l’industrie de la construction, alors qu’il en a organisé une pour boycotter des souliers fabriqués en Israel…et comme d’habitude Khadir s’est défilé. Il n’a répondu qu’à la partie de la question suggérant l’organisation d’une manifestation et pas sur la boutade concernant le boycott de la boutique Le Marcheur. Décidément, le courage ne semble pas faire parti de ses attributs. Notez en passant que cette campagne de boycott de produits israéliens a toujours cours. Le groupe d’activistes islamo-gauchistes fournissant les manifestants pour cette campagne de salissage envers Israel, le PAJU, ne manifeste plus devant la boutique Le Marcheur. Ils se sont déplacés depuis quelques semaines vers la boutique Naot, qui vend exclusivement des produits fabriqués en Israel. Continuer la lecture →

Republican Reverse Robbing Hoods, part II: The Koch brothers caught pants down

Peter B. Collins receives Brad Friedman of BradBlog.com with groundbreaking news. Friedman succeeded to get access to a recording of the Summer Seminar organized by the Koch brothers in 2011 in Vail, Colorado. An anonymous source who participated in this activity taped key portions of this Seminar, featuring both Charles and David Koch, Governor Chris Christie and Judge Napolitano, and provided Brad Friedman with the recording. Friedman posted the complete audio and transcript of it on his blog and released the story as well to Mother Jones publication. Well, the revelations of this recording are so juicy and crusty. While listening to this tape, we have the « pleasure » of hearing Charles Koch referring curiously to Saddam Hussein while he speaks about defeating Obama, David Koch talking about Governor Chris Christie as « my kind of guy », speakers describing how the rich are the victims of an evil Obama, and how Democrats have been stupid (I agree with that statement!) to accept cuts in social programs and the social safety net, etc. Overall, you will hear a bunch of ultra-rich potentates showing absolutely no respect for the poor and the people who suffer in the lower classes. After years of constant attacks and attempts to rob and crush the poor and the middle class in the U.S. during the Bush Administration, a « second wave » is now under way with these neo-extreme-right activists, who for the most part stay in the shadows, well hidden behind the Tea Party useful fools. But now they have been masterfully exposed and showed for what they trully are by this anonymous inside source and by investigative journalist Brad Friedman. I have joined the podcast of Brad Friedman’s interview with Peter B. Collins, some of the related articles published on Mother Jones, and the integral audio files and transcripts of the recording of the Summer Seminar, posted on BradBlog.com. Excellent work, guys! Excellent anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory has been working as well on the Koch brothers case for some time. In particular, FTR #726 is of great interest to get acquainted more with these shadowy figures of American politics. What the Koch brothers are proposing to America leads directly to fascism. In effect, their machinations and use of the Tea Party clearly intends to repel the New Deal implemented by Roosevelt to replace it by something that would go along the lines of Mussolini’s Corporate State. We all need weapons of mass-seduction after 9/11: Christine Mendoza and Paradise

After the 10th anniversary of 9/11, we all need weapons of mass-seduction. You know, to get a sense of closure, even if it will never come. A very beautiful young woman called « MSN beauty » on Youtube, aka Christine Mendoza, inspired me lately. I can’t help but to say to myself that, if I ever go to Heaven, women will be exactly like that: long hair down to the bottom, almond-eyes, perfect suntan, lips to die for, incredible curves and breasts that one couldn’t resist drinking to. Muslims may dream about having 70 virgins when they get to Paradise. But why not having just one mature woman like that instead? I’m telling you, in my Kingdom, women look exactly like that. There is no desire to go to war constantly when you have this kind of perfect beauty around you. I could die at the hands of Islamic terrorists but I would rather prefer to die in her arms. Then I could go straight to Heaven…and meet other adult females.

Les garderies en milieu familial et les familles d’accueil au Québec: Des nids d’abuseurs sexuels?

Cette semaine, suite à un reportage dans le journal La Presse concernant l’état des garderies en milieu familial au Québec, Benoit Dutrizac a abordé la question lors de son émission quotidienne au 98,5 FM. Après avoir interviewé le pédiatre Gilles Lupien, Dutrizac a ouvert les lignes téléphoniques pour sonder l’opinion publique. Or, cela n’a pas pris bien longtemps avant qu’une dame, Anne, appelle pour dire qu’il y avait eu de l’abus sexuel dans la « garderie » où elle avait confié sa petite fille. D’autres appelants ont fait des remarques d’ordre général sur l’organisation des lieux, des services, etc, qui sont venues corroborer les différents éléments présentés dans le reportage de La Presse. Une autre intervenante, Édith, a raconté à Dutrizac comment le conjoint de la propriétaire de sa garderie se promenait nu-pieds continuellement. Édith n’appréciait pas.

Un autre reportage de La Presse publié le lendemain rapporte certains faits relatifs à une garderie de Pierrefonds où le conjoint de la propriétaire, encore une fois, est soupçonné d’avoir commis de l’attouchement sexuel sur les enfants. Sans être psychologue, je crois que j’ai compris « comment ça marche ». Dans la vie, tout est une question de motifs et d’intérêts. Les humains ne font rien sans eux. Question: Qu’est-ce qui peut bien pousser ou motiver des conjoints à transformer leur maison ou leur appartement en garderie en milieu familial ou en famille d’accueil? La réponse est bien simple, elle tombe sous le sens mais, encore une fois, je ne suis pas sûr que ma société soit prête à l’entendre. Grosso modo, la situation semble être la suivante: Une femme peu intéressée par le sexe cherche ainsi à fournir « de la viande » à un conjoint pédophile… Je sais que ça fait mal, mais ça ressemble à cela. Don Debar on Talktainment Radio presents the real situation on the ground in Libya

This interview with New York journalist Don Debar offers a much more credible and more believable assessment of the situation in Libya than what we have been given by our local news providers. Debar was in Libya recently and the account that he presents here make a lot of sense. To begin with, Debar de-mythologizes the country that we call Libya by sketching certain of its social and political dimensions unknown to the vast majority of the western public. Libya, up until NATO’s military campaign against it, have had a social safety net that would make people jalous even in a country like Canada. In effect, Libyans have had free education, free healthcare. Every Libyan has had the right to own his/her house and there has been no mortgage. And there has been also a certain redistribution of oil revenues, something NATO and the « Allies » never said to us, the population. Libya, up to this military intervention, has had the highest standard of living in Africa. According to Debar, a 1000 miles of non-polluted beaches could be enjoyed by any citizens.

« Revolutionaries » of this war originate from Qatar. To this day, certain areas of Libya haven’t seen any rebels. Among other elements of this interview, we note that: Nelson Mandela credited Qaddafi for the help he provided to end Apartheid; Qaddafi had the project of creating the United States of Africa, which would have integrated its economy with the use of a currency based on gold; Qaddafi paid for a telecommunication system made in Africa. These elements seem to have entered into conflict with a project of NATO called Africom that would probably resemble a form of neo-colonialism. Lode Vanoost, former Belgian MP, expressed a similar opinion. See this previous article to get a hold of that.
