Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957), if you don’t already know him, is worth the detour. He must be, along with Nicolas Tesla and a few others, among the most underrated scientists of all time. Not only did Reich, definitely Sigmund Freud’s most brilliant student and successor, achieve an impressive amount of successes and discoveries in the immediate fields of psychology and psychoanalysis that were his (such as on the subjects of neurosis, anxiety, sex-morality, orgasm, character, etc) but he also undertook extensive research and practice, later in his career, in the areas of medecine, physics, astrophysics and engineering. More specifically, he dedicated many years on the subject of cancer, as he was looking to understand its causes and possibly even maybe to find a cure. He made extensive experiments in that direction using the discovery of Orgone Energy, with « bions » administered via a syringe, and with the Orgone Energy Accumulator (a box made out of wood and metal in which patients were standing) to try to alleviate at least some of the suffering of his patients. On topics of natural science, he worked on aurora borealis as a manifestation of Orgone Energy present in the sky and on the links it has with nuclear energy. He also completed the circle that made him akin with the Ancients, as he engineered and crafted himself the tools and technology necessary for his experiments, from the Cloudbuster (a cannon for fertilizing clouds), the Orgone Energy Accumulator, to the bion formula and other things.
The circumstances surrounding his death, like in the case of so many great characters, are both tragic and unclear. After having managed to survive the rise of Nazism in both Germany and Norway by escaping at the last minute (he emigrated to the U.S. in 1939) the powers of this world finally got to him where he expected them the least, the United States of America. Starting in 1947, the FDA began a propaganda campaign against Reich that lasted for years. In 1954, an Injunction was filed against him using the excuse of Orgone Energy. The Judge decreed that all Orgone Energy Accumulator and all related material should be destroyed. The burning of books that became the law of the land under the Nazis was continuing here at home in North America, as if the Inquisition was still going on. As his appeals were all denied, he was incarcerated in 1957 and died of heart failure later that year. Heart failure being a signature of the Underground Reich when it is time to get rid of somebody who is in the way, his death will always look to me rather like an execution. But, according to more recent research undertaken on the matter by James DeMeo, PhD, a specialist on Reich and Orgone energy, Communist agents seemed to have played a key role, along with other people. Cette entrevue de Chantale Longpré, présidente de la Fédération québécoise des directions d’établissements d’enseignement, avec Benoit Dutrizac du 98,5 FM est fort révélatrice. Nous pouvons bien dire ce que nous voulons, le Québec reste une société matriarcale, féminine, gauchiste et molle. C’est la réalité. En écoutant cette entrevue, vous aurez l’occasion de sentir toute l’exaspération de l’animateur radio qui n’en peut plus d’entendre toujours les mêmes arguments bidon, les mêmes formules creuses, les mêmes rationalisations de caniveau. On peut tous les résumer par la formule suivante, qui était utilisée ad nauseam voilà quelques années. Il est vrai qu’on l’entend moins depuis un certain temps mais elle demeure fort pertinente pour décrire la mentalité des Québécois en matière de gestion de problèmes: « Il va falloir faire en sorte ». Dans le fond, elle pourrait très bien remplacer le « Je me souviens », puisqu’on ne se souvient de rien de toute façon. Lorsqu’on dit « il va falloir faire en sorte », au fond, on dit quoi? On dit qu’il serait bon que quelqu’un s’occupe de ce problème. Or, ce quelqu’un, c’est personne car il n’y pas âme qui vive qui fera quoi que ce soit pour s’en occuper, puisque personne n’est responsable. Chantale Longpré n’utilise pas cette formule durant cette entrevue, mais elle est sous-entendue et partie intégrante de la culture fonctionnariste et bureaucratique où Madame Longpré évolue, qui est celui du monde de l’enseignement.
Voyez-vous, les réformes de la Révolution Tranquille ont permis au Québec de se moderniser, d’arriver enfin au vingtième siècle et ce avec beaucoup de retard il faut le dire. Elles ont permis de mettre l’Église Catholique en marge de la société, alors que celle-ci prenait beaucoup trop de place et qu’elle empêchait l’épanouissement des citoyens dans la liberté. Elles ont aussi mis un terme à un régime politique qui n’était pas démocratique, le duplessisme, mis en place par feu Maurice Duplessis. Le nouveau régime a créé des programmes sociaux et de nouvelles institutions afin de mieux répondre aux besoins de la population qui était assoiffée de pouvoir enfin s’épanouir dans le monde moderne avec tout ce qu’il comporte. Ce que je retiens le plus de cette présentation de Marine Le Pen, c’est la notion de relation affective dans les entreprises, qui n’existe presque plus aujourd’hui malheureusement, en raison de la financiarisation de l’économie et du monde du travail mais également de l’influence des syndicats qui encouragent les sentiments d’hostilité envers les employeurs. Aussi, le partage des bénéfices, qui ne se produit que trop rarement, fait en sorte que le travailleur a l’impression de le fruit de son labeur sert à enrichir les autres seulement. Le développement des compagnies à action a certainement été un facteur déterminant dans ce phénomène, puisque les actionnaires d’une compagnie donnée, parfois situés à des milliers de kilomètres, n’ont d’intérêt que le profit immédiat et se foutent totalement de qu’est-ce qui arrive aux travailleurs, d’où le sentiment de déconnexion que ces derniers peuvent ressentir. Il est grand temps de recréer le sentiment d’appartenance du travailleur à son milieu de travail et cela passe par le partage des bénéfices, et pourquoi pas même au niveau de la gestion de l’entreprise.
