Russ Baker on the state of the media
This is an interview with Russ Baker, author of Family of Secrets. He talks here on KUNM-FM Albuquerque on the state of the media in the United States, and as a whole throughout the world. Since he started his website, WhoWhatWhy.com, he is trying really hard to give back to the profession of journalism the kind of distinction, class and professionalism that it used to have, if it ever did. Great interview to reflect on the significance of these zillions of bytes on information that we consume everyday.
Fox News shows protests in Moscow…happening in Athens!
That’s some journalism!
Caroline Glick on the myth of the two-state solution in Israel: The Left controls the media (thank god, for once it’s not the « Zionists/Jews »!)
Caroline Glick in these two videos explains how, unfortunately, the Left in Israel seems to be controlling or setting the agenda for the media. In so doing, it is putting forward a propaganda that is not only counter-productive but also suicidal and dangerous for the survival of the Jewish people and the state of Israel. The country seems to be suffering from the same leftist biais that pollutes so often the media throughout the world, in Europe particularly, and here as well in Canada. I urge all Israelis to stop this non-sense and adopt a more mature and rational attitude. Steps and actions must be taken to defend the Jewish state because if not, it will disappear. The time for idealistic and virtuous games is over. It’s now time for action. All Israelis and Jews must defend the country against Islamic totatitarianism. Palestinians and Iranians are nothing else than islamofascist Nazis in disguise. They must be crushed before they get the chance of erasing the Jews from history. Stand for your own country and your own kind, Israelis!
German corporate control of American media and the meltdown
In recent rebroadcast of previous shows FTR# 298 and FTR#671, Dave Emory explored German corporate control over American media. Contrasting greatly with the so-called Jewish or Israeli lobby theory that we hear so often on so many tribunes and that is often only a masquerade to hide anti-semitic views, but not always, these two shows try to bring into the light things that are really happening to America since WWII. Far away from being the object of a takeover by « Zionist » elements within the United States, the home-of-the-brave country has been subdued and hypnotized by elements belonging to the Underground Reich, or to say things differently, by the international cartel of finance institutions, banks and corporations that is slowly but surely taking control of the whole planet and enslaving the entire population to its arbitrary dictates.
Among other elements looked upon in FTR #298, we find the German publishing house Bertelsmann that owns Random House, which is the biggest publishing house in the English language in the world, being under special examination (other shows exist that deals further with Bertelsmann). We can learn here that Bertelsmann was the major publisher for the Nazis during WWII. According to the research made by Dave Emory, Bertelsmann is linked to the Bormann Capital Network. Also called Underground Reich, this Network was created by Martin Bormann, the leader of the Nazi Party after WWII, in the last months of the war. In effect, he smuggled abroad almost the entire nazi loot and wealth that the Nazis had plundered during WWII in all the countries that they occupied, to be saved and secured into 750 corporations that he created overseas. He also invested huge chunks of this capital into holdings companies, creating thus an immense network of wealth that was used after the war to rebuild Germany and buy professional opinion…in the media and other activities around the world…and also in the U.S. Continuer la lecture
« Real » journalism and bloggers in Quebec: Chris Selley sets the record straight
Thank you for coming at our rescue, we the bloggers. For myself, being a Quebecer and a French-Canadian, I was certainly disappointed by the Liberal government’s decision in Quebec to create a special status for so-called « professional » journalists. Evidently, we all have understood here that it has been specifically crafted to differenciate these so-called « real » journalists from the « fake » or « bogus » ones, those who waste their time and energy publishing on the Internet, yes, that platform that is only good to host the trash and political crap of a society, they probably think. I was disappointed and it kind of broke my heart to see that, again, my people can’t understand the real issues, and so our problems will become more and more difficult to solve in the future as a result.
Concerning the question of « real » journalism, let me tell you how I see the situation in Quebec. It might not be any better in the rest of Canada and in the U.S. but for the sake of the argument, I will stick with what I know best. « Journalists » here are like seagulls circling around McDonald’s restaurants in search for a lost and unattended french (or english) fry that they could catch. They assemble around the Big Ones of the Province, such as the coach of the Montreal Canadiens, the Premier, the Mayor of Montreal and the like, to see if by any chance some crumbles could fall from off their tables. So, whenever one of these big shots has some bad joke, unsignificant announcement to make, stupid commentary about the weather or would like to give some tips about his latest recipe of cheese macaroni, they all jump as a block to recuperate that, as if it was some kind of precious metal. Then, they parrot it out through their several platforms transforming the media, which is supposed to be a place where humans are trying to become more aware and more conscious about the world in which they live, into an entertainment debilitating machine.
It is the quality of the work that makes the journalist, not the other way around. I don’t seek the title of journalist. I don’t have time for this. I am too busy trying to put out good and sound information online… Giving the title of « professional » journalist to somebody won’t transform him/her into a reference for the industry. Again, it is the quality of the work that makes the journalist and it is up to the public to judge if somebody is worthy of that title. So, I will leave the distinguished « professional » journalists of Quebec continue their search for the latest crumble or french fry to catch up. Knowing that McDonald’s now have salad is certainly reassuring. At least our seagulls will eat healthy…and be able to watch their diet. Here is the article by Selley that talks about that, and a second one written by the editorial board of the National Post on the same subject.
Letters to the National Post: Some readers show their support for Warren Buffet
In a recent article, I supported Warren Buffet. This week, in a letter adressed to the editor of the New York Times, he defended the principle that the rich and the wealthy must contribute significantly to the financing of the State, that it was not only to the poor and the middle class to do that. Curiously, two columnists in the National Post, Peter Foster and Jack Mintz, joined their voices to criticize and almost discredit Mr Buffet. Honestly, belonging myself to the class of low-wage workers and surviving from paycheck to paycheck, I found these « opinions » so heartless, irrelevant and out of touch with reality that I didn’t even bother to respond. Normally, as a blogger I would have, but I said to myself: « what the hell ». And then on Thursday, August 18th, the newspaper published some readers reactions that corroborated my firts impressions. So I am not going to say much more. I am just going to invite you to read them. They do justice to the issues involved. It appears finally that I am not the only one who has good feelings for Warren Buffet, and for sanity in general, when the time comes to administrate the State and the economy. I also join the articles in question from both Foster and Mintz.
Margaret Wente on the Freedom Flotilla: A ship of useful idiots

Well, this time, you got it right. This article by Margaret Wente is honest and represents a good job of journalism. That I can respect. Ok, I admit that last time I may have burned a few fuses when I blogged about Patrick Martin’s documentary Inside Hamas. I was so infuriated by what appeared to me as a nasty peace of propaganda that I couldn’t resist denouncing it ferociously. That was duty as a responsible citizen to do so anyway. Next time I will try to remain more cool, but you have to admit that you, The Globe and Mail, pushed really far our tolerance and patience. It is one thing to express an opinion but it is another to take people for fools. With that article, we can see that Wente took the time to assess the situation and the basic facts, and the whole thing is balanced and credible. I can’t understand why Martin didn’t put the same efforts to bring similar results in his documentary in the first place. You know what? I think Wente should share notes with Patrick Martin… Judging by their respective views on the Israeli-Palestinian situation, it looks as if they are not talking about the same conflict. Overall, I will say it is good reporting. I am happy to see that there are still people with good judgement at the Globe. The second article has been published by the National Post last week on the subject and it goes around the same lines. The two articles complete each other very well.
