Ceci est une photo datant de 1937 tirée d’un journal de l’époque. On peut y apercevoir au centre William Lyon Mackenzie King, Premier Ministre du Canada, en visite officielle en Allemagne nazie. L’ouvrage de Normand Lester, Le livre noir du Canada-Anglais, Tome I, permet de jeter un regard explicatif à la fois sur cette photo et aussi sur cette période trouble de notre histoire. Les informations qui suivent, à moins d’indications contraires, sont tirées de ce livre, pages 267-272. Selon les recherches effectuées par Normand Lester, Mackenzie King avait un caractère trouble, crédule et irrationnel, à la frontière de pathologies psychiatriques, ce qui en faisait un candidat de choix pour des activités comme le spiritisme, dont il était un fervent adepte. Mais il était également un antisémite convaincu, à une époque où le monde entier s’embrasait dans cette vision haineuse du peuple juif. Mackenzie King vouait une admiration non seulement pour le régime nazi mais également pour Hitler lui-même, au point où il croyait que ce dernier pourrait devenir un sauver du monde, comme il l’écrivit dans son journal personnel, cité par Lester à partir de l’ouvrage None is Too Many de Irving ABELLA et Harold TROPER. Lors de cette visite officielle, Mackenzie King prend contact avec l’Allemagne antisémite et nazie dont les symboles sont affichés partout dans Berlin. Les Juifs sont exclus de plusieurs professions et endroits de la ville…comme c’est le cas également en Ontario, note Lester. Mackenzie King n’est donc nullement choqué de cet état de choses puisque c’est devenu la norme un peu partout dans le monde occidental durant les années trente. En fait, il semble même l’approuver, comme l’indique d’autres passages de son journal intime cité dans Le livre noir. En gros, Mackenzie King semble avoir été un antisémite ayant des sympathies nazies, quoiqu’il n’est pas clair jusqu’à quel point il adhérait à cette idéologie. Il demeurait néanmoins convaincu qu’Hitler et Mussolini étaient des « personnages de qualité ». À vous de juger.

The controlled demolition of America on 9/11, part II: Richard Clarke’s allegations and the Underground Reich
Decidedly, the 9/11 case is the worst of all times. Not only there are countless dimensions and connections to be aware of and that need to be stressed but in the end, there are so many threads that one has difficulty keeping the focus on what really matters. In part I, I took a look at the direct links between the reactionary religious bigotry that is encouraged in Saudi Arabia and terrorism activity in general in the years just prior to 9/11. The Saudi connection seemed to have played a major role in the engineering, crafting and carrying of the 9/11 attacks. In another post a few days earlier, I took a look at the connections between international drug cartels and the hijackers. Let me recall that Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi infiltrated the Iran-Contra network involved in drug trafficking that was still in use at the time of 9/11.
This second part article will take a look rather on the flipside of part I. I will try to provide a picture of what could have gone wrong inside the U.S. to have 9/11 happened despite all the intelligence agencies, the FBI and all the capable people within the government. As a starting point, I will bring to your attention something that has made the news in the progressive sector last week but that was totally ignored, or close to that, in the mainstream press. Two young producers, Ray Nowosielski and John Duffy, made an interview with Richard Clarke, NSC Chief of Counterterrorism from 1992-2001, in October 2009. They recently launched a website to publish the interview and related articles and news. The site was temporarily taken offline due to CIA legal threats. To sum things up, Richard Clarke alleges that he was kept in the dark about the presence in the U.S. of two Al-Qaeda agents, Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, that would become some of the hijackers that flew American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon. His allegations concern directly three key individuals who were within the government apparatus at the time of 9/11, George Tenet, head of the CIA, Cofer Black, head of the Counterterrorism Center of the CIA, and Richard Blee, who was made Chief of bin Laden Unit in 1999 at Alec station, a listening post in the Middle East dedicated to Al-Qaeda. Republican Reverse Robbing Hoods, part II: The Koch brothers caught pants down
Peter B. Collins receives Brad Friedman of BradBlog.com with groundbreaking news. Friedman succeeded to get access to a recording of the Summer Seminar organized by the Koch brothers in 2011 in Vail, Colorado. An anonymous source who participated in this activity taped key portions of this Seminar, featuring both Charles and David Koch, Governor Chris Christie and Judge Napolitano, and provided Brad Friedman with the recording. Friedman posted the complete audio and transcript of it on his blog and released the story as well to Mother Jones publication. Well, the revelations of this recording are so juicy and crusty. While listening to this tape, we have the « pleasure » of hearing Charles Koch referring curiously to Saddam Hussein while he speaks about defeating Obama, David Koch talking about Governor Chris Christie as « my kind of guy », speakers describing how the rich are the victims of an evil Obama, and how Democrats have been stupid (I agree with that statement!) to accept cuts in social programs and the social safety net, etc. Overall, you will hear a bunch of ultra-rich potentates showing absolutely no respect for the poor and the people who suffer in the lower classes. After years of constant attacks and attempts to rob and crush the poor and the middle class in the U.S. during the Bush Administration, a « second wave » is now under way with these neo-extreme-right activists, who for the most part stay in the shadows, well hidden behind the Tea Party useful fools. But now they have been masterfully exposed and showed for what they trully are by this anonymous inside source and by investigative journalist Brad Friedman. I have joined the podcast of Brad Friedman’s interview with Peter B. Collins, some of the related articles published on Mother Jones, and the integral audio files and transcripts of the recording of the Summer Seminar, posted on BradBlog.com. Excellent work, guys! Excellent anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory has been working as well on the Koch brothers case for some time. In particular, FTR #726 is of great interest to get acquainted more with these shadowy figures of American politics. What the Koch brothers are proposing to America leads directly to fascism. In effect, their machinations and use of the Tea Party clearly intends to repel the New Deal implemented by Roosevelt to replace it by something that would go along the lines of Mussolini’s Corporate State. Addendum to Brave New World preschools in Sweden: More possible links between IKEA and fascism
In a recent post about a school in Sweden that teaches kids how to bypass « stereotypization » in terms of gender roles, I alluded to the fact that IKEA stores have on-site day-care centers and that these two facts, although seemingly unrelated, could very well be. In a larger scheme, they could represent the implementation of a totalitarian agenda of some kind, probably fascist because of its similarities with the world depicted in Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. In a recent blog post, anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory brought some more meat around the bone of that trail of enquiry. Emory sees a possible connection between Ingvar Kamprad, founder of IKEA, and the Bormann Capital Network that he so often talked about. For those who don’t know, this network represent more than 750 corporations that Martin Bormann, the successor to Adolf Hitler, created abroad in neutral countries to be able to ship out the entire Nazi loot that they had plundered during WWII. Sweden has the « prestigious » title of the most important recipient of these corporations, hosting 233 out of the 750. Author Elisabeth Asbrink in a new book explores these links between Kamprad and nazism. Emory also notes that the name of Per Engdahl is be remembered in the rising and development of post-WWII fascism and in connection with Kamprad.
L’agenda caché de François Legault: Vendre Hydro-Québec et remettre la province sur un plateau d’argent au secteur privé?
Il est extrêmement rare que je sois d’accord avec Jean Charest. C’est pourquoi vous feriez mieux d’encercler cette date sur votre calendrier car elle risque de passer à l’histoire. Comme l’évoque Jean Charest dans cet article publié sur le site web du 98,5 FM, François Legault a apparemment un agenda caché qui serait, selon mes sources, celui de vendre Hydro-Québec, entre autres choses. Je me le suis fait dire par des gens qui sont à l’intérieur du Parti Québécois. L’argumentaire est que vendre Hydro-Québec nous permettrait de payer la dette accumulée. Monsieur Legault oublie cependant qu’Hydro-Québec rapporte plus de trois milliards de dollars par année au gouvernement, selon les chiffres officiel de 2009. Si Hydro-Québec est vendu ces revenus vont nécessairement disparaître, ce qui entraînera la nécessité de hausser les impôts pour compenser. Je m’adresse ici au lecteur: Si vous perdiez votre emploi, la solution serait-elle que vous vendiez vos meubles ou votre automobile, et non pas trouver un autre emploi?
Plus précisément, je crois deviner que François Legault se sentirait peut-être attiré par le modèle qu’a développé Mussolini pour l’Italie et qu’on appelle l’État corporatiste. Il s’agit d’un modèle économique de droite où les activités économiques sont données au secteur privé, organisées sous le modèle de cartels ou monopoles. Un monopole se produit lorsque toute l’activité d’un secteur de l’économie est contrôlée par un acteur unique. Dans les cas d’Hydro-Québec, de la SAQ, de Loto-Québec, etc, se sont des monopoles mais contrôlés par l’État du Québec, donc qui rapportent de l’argent à tous les citoyens et contribuent ainsi à alléger leur fardeau fiscal et à financer les programmes sociaux. Si nos sociétés d’État sont vendues, nos impôts vont nécessairement augmenter…et je crois vous entendre dire ici que l’on en paie déjà assez comme cela. Aussi, et même si notre dette est payée, on devra réemprunter pour financer de nouveaux projets, puisque nos revenus seront inférieurs de façon récurrente à tous les ans.
Si François Legault a en tête de vendre Hydro-Québec et les autres sociétés d’État, qu’est-ce qui l’empêchera ensuite de remettre au secteur privé l’ensemble de nos outils collectifs, comme les systèmes de santé et d’éducation, la Caisse de dépôt et placement, etc? Le problème des Québécois, et ils ne sont pas les seuls dans le monde à cet effet, est qu’ils ont perdu confiance dans leurs politiciens appartenant au Centre du spectre politique, Libéraux comme Péquistes. Ils préfèrent prêter oreille aux sirènes trompeuses et mensongères de la gauche et de la droite, au grand plaisir des Québec Solidaires, François Legault et autres. Si les Québécois élisent l’une ou l’autre de ces options, nous sommes fichus. Un appauvrissement massif et une décroissance spectaculaire s’en suivront, ce qui entraînera encore plus de mesures menant au totalitarisme et la fin de la démocratie au Québec. J’appelle tous les Québécois à ne pas succomber à ces messagers du suicide économique collectif et à rester solidaire de l’idéal et de l’esprit démocratique.

Frank Schaeffer on the Evangelical cloak of the Republican Party
Radio host Peter B. Collins receives in this podcast Frank Schaeffer, ex-Evangelical leader for many years in the U.S.. Son of Reconstructionist preacher Francis Schaeffer, Frank has a lot to say about the links that exist between the Republican Party and the Evangelical movement. According to him, that movement has literally taken over the Party. It dictates its policies to the political establishment. Among the many representatives of this trend, Schaeffer mentions Michelle Bachmann who, apparently, is under the spell of the Evangelicals. He goes at length to explain how her politics are the expression of the Evangelical background that she has. Schaeffer also takes the opportunity to present certain parts of the material of his new book Sex, Mom and God, and to talk about his father in relation with the Evangelical movement. Globally, I found this interview rather relevant. Having a master degree in Religious Studies, I am always curious about personal religious backgrounds, narratives and stories. Although I have got away from the religious scene for the most part, out of boringness and sometimes disgust and distrust, it is always interesting to see elements like that surging where you expect them the least.
I share a good part of the explanations presented by Frank Schaeffer here on this subject, but not totally. First of all, I am not sure that the Evangelical movement has taken over the Republican Party. I rather have the impression that it is the Republican Party that uses the Evangelical movement as a cloak to better hide its machinations. People with cash and power don’t have religious beliefs; if they really had, they probably wouldn’t be rich and powerful. The world is not run by religion; it is run by money and money gives power. I totally respect the opinion of somebody like Frank Schaeffer who survived the mind-control and brainwash environment of such a movement, but I think it is more accurate to think that the Evangelical movement is used as yet another tool, garment, cloak, etc, to engineer the American society and the whole world into a pre-determined totalitarian reactionary agenda. In numerous articles in the past, I have said, along with heroic researcher Dave Emory, that the Republican Party is fascist in nature, having among other things links to the Third Reich that go back to WWII.
