Center for Security Policy on Influence Operations, Past and Present

This conference given by intelligence analysts on influence operations is certainly a must see. Too often we live our lives completely unaware of the dangers that surround us. Yesterday’s fears of a communist takeover presented by the media, whether exaggerated or not, have left us with the impression that « the government » was taking care of these things and that all we had to do was to go on, ignorant and with a quiet state of mind. Well…things are not that simple. Security and intelligence matters concern every citizens. Every one of us must be aware of what is going on in order to defend the country in which we live, its culture, its language, its values. That’s the only way to prevent a real takeover by an alien regime, ideology or culture. This presentation focuses principally on influence operations conducted by the Soviet Union in the Western World but the same principles could apply to any ideology. Panellists give examples using their experience on the ground and the vast quantity of intelligence reports available.

I must admit, this kind of presentation is long overdue. While the study of fascism has been done quite extensively by people such as Mae Brussel and Dave Emory, we are still waiting for the study of communism. It has not been made scientifically, rationally, intellectually, besides the propaganda put out by Radio Liberty and Radio Free Europe, the way it has been on fascism. And I think it has to be. Totalitarian ideologies are the real threat to this world. In order to fight and defeat them, we must first understand them. That’s why I am glad that the Center for Security Policy has undertaken this series of talks. The next installment will present the case of Islamism as the main new ideology that conducts influence operations on our soil, to try to stir opinion in its favor to be able to vanquish and conquer us more easily. Two thumbs up for this new initiative!

Russ Baker on the MK-ULTRA program, the CIA and LSD

Please read this excellent article by Russ Baker on the CIA MK-ULTRA program and LSD. Originally commissioned by the New York Times Magazine, the editorial board changed their minds at the last minute. It was however published by The Observer in Britain and by Spiegel in Germany and many others around the world. The article tells the story of an American citizen named Stanley Glickman who went studying in Paris in the ’50s. One night a stranger discretely put a LSD dose in his drink, as part of a series of early experiments with what was at the time a new drug. Developed by the Sandoz company, originally part of the I.G. Farben cartel that was instrumental in the rise of Nazi Germany and that was broken into several smaller companies at the end of the war (including BASF, Bayer and Hoechst, counting for 95% of the total business) LSD was the subject of intense research until psychologist Timothy Leary began sharing the « experience » with a larger public in San Francisco and around Boston in the late ’60s, which led LSD to be declared illegal and Leary to be arrested at the border of Mexico in the ’70s. For more details, please read his excellent autobiography, Flashbacks. The CIA probably wanted to create the perfect drug with which to control the minds of the population. Instead, they created one that expends the power of the human mind, thus achieving the exact opposite of what they wanted to do. Isn’t that such an irony? Here is a short video about Leary.

Sex and slaughter: Anders Behring Breivik’s and Hitler’s fascist views on sexuality

On Thursday July 28th, National Post‘s Jonathan Kay wrote an excellent article on the links between Anders Behring Breivik’s and Adolf Hitler’s intellectual patterns. I am particularly grateful that he took the time (thanks!) to read into the whole or at least some parts of Breivik’s manifesto. Having a day job and being interested and compelled into so many things at the same time for the elaboration of this blog, I don’t have time unfortunately to read 1,500 pages+ manifestos. I strongly rely on the research of others, journalists or researchers, to be able to blog and analyse situations and cases. I intervene at « level 2  » if you will, in the process toward truthful information. I don’t have the credentials to pretend that I am an investigative journalist nor that I have those to be considered a professional and acknowledged researcher. My background is made of research in religious studies and psychology, and attempts to established myself as professional writer in philosophy and other subjects.

These caveats being made, let’s get back to the article. Kay quotes or references several passages of Hitler’s Mein Kampf in which the nazi leader expresses psychopathological thoughts linking negative views on sexuality, biological illnesses, germ theory, moral decadence and racial theory on Jews and other groups. Kay compares these passages with some of Breivik’s manifesto, revealing some striking similarities: references to sexual decadence, sexually transmitted diseases, social reform needed, etc. The article continues the analysis and overall it does an excellent job at bringing up to the surface a very important element that 99,9% of the rest of the media managed to miss regarding this case, as it is almost always the case unfortunately with anything really important. Anders Behring Breivik: A sweet candy for the Left and useful fools…but too good to be true

Jes’ that I have a lot to say about this manifesto! First of all, let me clarify a few things. Looking at the « facts » to begin with, as usual, I don’t buy the official story. It is utterly improbable that this guy could have acted alone. Like in the case of the Oklahoma City bombing and countless of other similar acts, the « lone nuts » as we have come to call them have operated in teams, for the simple reason that it is complicated to organize and do such coups in terms of logistics for a start. In effect, in a tree nuts always come with a lot of brothers and sisters. In all probabilities, there were several shooters on that island to account for such casualties. Also, for me, the bombing of the governmental building in central Oslo is a separate operation from the shooting at Utoya. Yet the press and the police are trying to make us believe a ridiculous story where Anders Behring Breivik, the alleged killer, has taken a transport to go from the city of Oslo to Utoya island, with heavy ammunitions. Remember that he shot for an hour and a half, that’s a lot of bullets… As well, the official story says that he has fabricated the bomb that blew the federal building in central Oslo with fertilizer… You see, he lives on a farm… When you are a farmer, that’s the kind of things that you have, fertilizer, and if you don’t, you won’t eat very fat with your farming… Besides that it is heavy, again. Bombers try to find the smallest but most powerful explosives they can find, not something that you need a whole truck just to carry.

Another thing that is striking in this case is the manipulation of data that seems to have been taken place. According to a finding made by the webmaster of Postedeveille.ca, the tags « christian » and « conservative » have been added to the killer’s Facebook page. By who? I don’t know but it smells like a set up, a frame up, a masquerade. Continuer la lecture

Rupert Murdoch and News of the World: Was he running his own intelligence service?

I have only a few questions regarding Rupert Murdoch and his newspaper News of the World. Because, let’s speak frankly here (you know how much I like to do it!) from the outside, that’s exactly what it looks like, an intelligence service. Phone hacking, email hacking, etc, that’s what intelligence agencies do for a living. The real question is whether Murdoch was doing it for an official established governmental agency or if it was his own thing. Unless it was somebody else’s? We must never forget that Prince Alwaleed from Saudi Arabia, who is an Islamist linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, is the second largest shareholder. Was Alwaleed running the operation behind Murdoch’s back? That is a possibility. Anyhow, it seems now that the curtain has fallen on Murdoch or the one(s) running that show. After all, if you spy on people, you have to make sure that you don’t get caught, otherwise you’re going down with the plane (so to speak).

And while it is all very interesting to speculate about these possibilities, something really big happened as the scandal was unfolding. The media, as usual, either slept on the switch or avoided to touch it by fear of retaliation, cowardice, lazyness or anything of that sort. I am talking about the mysterious death of the whistleblower, Sean Hoare, who initiated the scandal that led to Murdoch’s demise that we are seeing today. You don’t need a Ph.D. in criminology or political science to see that he was liquidated. By whom? Hard to say with precision, but members of Murdoch’s empire, of the British government, of the Police, of the Secret Service, in other terms anyone who find themselves today in deep shit because of the reporting of this journalist who only did his job. In a previous post, I praised the work of whistleblowers like Sibel Edmonds, Julia Davis and Steve Kohn who have shown the true nature of whistleblowing. It is sad that Sean Hoare had to die because he reported on misdeeds happening in his own country, but you have to realize that it is not a good period for democracy on Earth. Liberal democracy is under attack and everybody seem to behave as totalitarians, even those who sincerely try to maintain democracy.

Now, I formally ask the question: Where were you, the media, when the news came out that this whistleblower, Sean Hoare, was found dead? Even the excellent National Post didn’t cover it. Heeeeelllllooooo!!! Are everybody on vacation in the media at this time of year in the whole world? Apparently not when it is time to report sensationalist news about Rupert Murdoch’s demise and humiliation anyway. With our sweet media, we have the privilege to get the latest crunchy details on how for example the atmosphere was bad at News of the World, on how Murdoch protected Brooks, etc, all of which are NOT that important if you consider that a man was killed and that an intelligence operation was under way…and that it benefitted evidently somebody. Heeellllllooooo!!!! Somebody in the media doing its job? Do you need an expresso or something to wake you up? There is probably a Starbucks coffee shop around the corner. Why don’t you go there and buy something to stimulate your synapses. Because we, the people, need you, the media, to do your job. How can we assess the state of world affairs if you don’t do what you are supposed to do? Unless you are afraid of losing your own lives? In my case, when I started this blog, I made the decision that I would go to the end to defend my ideas, to the death if necessary. If you have not made the same decision, maybe journalism is not cut out for you. Serving coffee, at Starbucks for example, or in any other brand of your choice, might be something more appropriate.

Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould comment on Ahmed Wali Karzai assassination

Again, the excellent Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould continue their groundbreaking presentation and analysis of the complex and difficult situation in AfPak, the region of Afghanistan and Pakistan. The murder of Hamid Karzai’s brother, who was apparently the local druglord (heroin), comes within a few weeks of the bin Laden one. It seems that, one by one, the Americans and/or their allies are getting rid of bad assets in the region. Have the bin Ladens and the Karzais of this world went astray of the agendas that were set for them? It certainly seems so. Thank you Paul and Elizabeth for the great job that you do for us.

Russ Baker on The Boiling Frogs: Debunking a few lies

The excellent Russ Baker is back on The Boiling Frogs only a few weeks after another terrific interview given on Peter’s own program, The Peter B. Collins Show. In this conversation with Peter B. and Sibel Edmonds, Baker tries to debunk a few lies that have polluted our political and media landscape for the last months, notably the fake Arab Spring, the bogus claim that Qaddafi ordered mass-rapes of Libya’s women fueled with Viagra  and the total incompetence and lazyness with which the coverage and analysis of the Pan Am 103 incident have been made by our media. I totally agree with Russ Baker on these issues. Dave Emory started to analyse the real action behind the scenes during the time of the Egyptian « revolution », in a series of shows that I have referenced on my blog and that are called the  Piggy-Back Coup series and the Turkish Taffy series, and Baker is continuing the analysis with the same diagnosis. It was fake, all the clues are there, you just have to look at them. It was, in all probabilities, engineered by agents of the intelligence community. I provide you as well with a few articles, in which Baker goes deeper into the analysis on that topic.

Also, Baker takes a few moments during the interview to raise our awareness on a gross example of psychological warfare that has been fabricated, the mass-rape claim in Libya. In effect, Qaddafi might be a dictator, he might cruel but he is not a fool. To order such thing in a time when the spotlight of the international community is on him would be totally suicidal. I agree with Baker that it is virtually impossible that this story could be genuine. Chances are that it has been cooked up in the labs of psychological warfare crews somewhere in the West, in an attempt to smear Qaddafi, adding to the shame already coming with the Pan Am 103 bombing. As soon as I heard this story, I didn’t believe it for a second and Baker comes in that interview as a second opinion that confirms what I had thought from the start. By the way, have you noticed that all of a sudden there are a lot of sexual « scandals » around the world, form DSK to Wiener to Qaddafi, etc? Do the power elite have a problem with sex? Or is it just the simplest way to smear someone without any chance for him/her to have a defense and continue unharmed? Anyway, listen to the interview and read the articles. Baker is one of the best journalists in America, if not of the world, and he deserves fully to be encouraged. If I were millionaire I would give him a good pay and a house…but unfortunately I am in the same situation than he is. It looks as if it is only the poor who are ready to struggle. The rich are all corrupted or cowards and they don’t do anything to help the world survive.

Interview with Russ Baker on the Peter B. Collins Show

Listen to this terrific interview with Russ Baker, author of Family of Secrets and founder of WhoWhatWhy.com, a website dedicated to the pursuit of true, unimpaired and non-co-opted investigative journalism. Peter B. Collins receives him in his « secret » studio for a friendly conversation on subjects related to his work as a « forensic journalist ». Among different topics, the bin Laden case gets their immediate attention as Baker explores various issues and questions that he has concerning the timing, framing, engineering and crafting of the operation, and the communication or rhetorical job that was done by the Administration afterwards. For example, Baker notes that as the official version kept changing constantly, it was a clear sign that the story was in fact scripted, which opens many options in terms of what really happened in the first place. The DNA test, the burial at sea, the behavior of bin Laden when the operation occured, the behavior of women in the compound and several other elements lead Baker to raise serious doubts concerning the veracity of what we are being told by Washington. You know that I, for myself, was a skeptic form the start, as you may have read it in this earlier post written 48 hours after the events. Also, Baker proves again that he is a great person to have on board for a radio host and Collins, as usual, offers all the space his guest needs to share with us his inner thoughts, in this case on the killing of bin Laden, which resumes itself in the end to be one of the most important PSYOPS in decades. Baker also touches on the subject of private Bradley Manning, the man who allegedly dumped a series of files to the WikiLeaks website. Baker comments on Manning in a way to make us realize that he is not really a whistleblower, like other observers have also said in recent past. I also propose to you a series of articles by Baker posted on WhoWhatWhy, that deal with the bin Laden execution to help you continue your study. As well, for a review of Family of Secrets, you can visit this page here.

New development on Osama bin Laden execution: Bradley Manning might have blown the operation

Excellent researcher and anti-fascist resistant Dave Emory presented part of a blog post published on Extreme Liberal’s blog. The post contains an extract from a series of online chats between Bradley Manning and former hacker Adrian Lamo. In this series, originally published it is entirety on Wired.com, we see that Manning presented himself to Adrian Lamo as the source not only of the Gitmo files but also of several other key documents that WikiLeaks obtained. So for the first time, Manning is specifically named as a source for WikiLeaks. But not only that. Among all of the files, another document shows that there is evidence that the State Department or some intelligence agency within the american government might have known where bin Laden was, since 2003. In other terms, because Manning might have inadvertently blown the operation that was coming, god knows when, to crack down on bin Laden in Abbottabad, the Administration was rushed to do it out of fear that he would otherwise escape. WikiLeaks began releasing the Gitmo files on April 24th 2011 and the operation on bin Laden’s hideout was conducted on May 1st. It is difficult not to see a connection. Read my earlier post to see how I assed the situation 48 hours after the event.

I hope you are not one of those who believe that Bradley Manning is really a « whistleblower ». On that I agree with Emory and Extreme Liberal’s blog webmaster. If there is a thing on Earth that Manning is not, it is being that. Why? Because a whistleblower will denounce a situation closely related to his/her professional skills and area of expertise, not on thousands of issues disconnected to one another. Manning released a thumbnail disc that contains thousands of files. We can all assume that he didn’t read the vast majority of them, for reasons of time to start with. So what was his goal in doing that? A few possibilities that we can identify in trying to explain his strange behavior is that he is a mind-control job, he is being manipulated, he has been promissed a chunk of cash…or he is just stupid, immature and crazy. Make your pick. Because it is obvious that he would get in jail for such behavior. Believe me folks, he is not a whistleblower. His actions play into a broader agenda of destabilization of the liberal and progressive political class, represented in the United States by the Democratic Party. The files that he « whistleblowned » will just help the enemies of democracy to break down a world that is already pretty much weakened by the incessant attacks of fascists, nazis and all kinds of groups of the Extreme-Right, with the help of their Extreme-Left and Islamist puppets. Folks, I am telling you: don’t bite into the Bradley Manning story and the WikiLeaks deception. Stay focus on democracy, on progressive and liberal values and on the political way of the Center. The truth lies in the Center and that Center shall set you free.
